Travelling from Canada to U.S. while pregnant

My wife and I are planning to travel from Ontario, Canada to Seattle this coming week. My wife is 6 months pregnant and she's heard some things about needing documentation about being insured for pregnancy related health issues and that if she doesn't have such documentation, she could be turned away at the U.S. Customs check. Does anyone know if this is true or not? What kind of documentation does she need to bring with her?

Jacksonville in March - Zika fears?

I'm looking into going on a trip to Jacksonville in March. I plan on having a child in the next few years so zika is a real concern for me. How worried should I be about this? Any articles on the likelihood of it spreading from Miami or anything to either ease my mind or confirm my concern would be appreciated. I have to book the trip now so I am trying to be as informed as possible.

Advice for long road trip with baby and young child?

Please help me and my sweet, innocent children survive a 2-day road trip. Kids are ages about one and preschool age. We will be staying with family as well, so any advice for navigating a potentially dealing with the usual type of slightly obnoxious in-law difficulties is also welcome. How do you make time for yourself or find time to relax during stressful family visits? Is that even possible? Driving my Mexican bought car into the USA as a US citizen

Hi folks, I have a car that I bought in mexico, used, that is in my name and I am planning on driving it from the Yucatan into the USA. I obviously don't want to drive it all the way through mexico only to be turned away at the border with all of my belongings, so any info is greatly appreciated. I am hoping to keep using this car - a 2008 toyota in good condition - while I resettle back into the USA. I know there are some requirements for emissions and other standards, so again - any info you all can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Travel safety question for Estonia/Tallinn

Asking for a friend: Single US woman, mid-20s, wants to spend a week or so in Tallinn this autumn. Is there a single generally accepted concept of per diem payments?

My definition, based on my admittedly limited experience, is that the per diem is paid as a lump sum, either up-front or after the fact, for [per diem amount * days worked] without regard to how much the recipient actually spends. What this company offers is reimbursement for actual expenses up to [per diem amount], with receipts required from the contractor/employee. [more inside]

Spending a significant chunk of savings... to chase a dream.

How crazy am I? I have a significant chunk of savings... almost enough in cash to do something i've been talking about doing for years. I'm not eating into my RRSPs, and I'm leaving 6 months of salary untouched... but I'm seriously debating spending all of the rest (and maybe a bit more via a small loan) to chase a dream. What do i want on my iPhone 6 before several long international flights?

Im seeking suggestions for games or any apps to download before taking an upcoming trip. I'm not opposed to spending some money but I am not looking to shell out a ton of cash on games/apps which I will tire of immediately.
