Just picked up some cool paper cuts. And was wondering if metafilter can help me translate them. I believe they are Chinese but honestly I am not sure. Two images are below:

Paper Cut Two
Let me know if you have any trouble with the images. And thanks again Metafilter!

Tell me what you know about building a Wordpress-based site in English, but with Chinese-language content. Or any other language, really, if it applies to this situation. [more inside]

Looking to put these characters
in my kitchen. Do they actually translate as "Food is Heaven"? Also, which type of written characters are they, traditional or simplified? Any info would be great. Thank you for your help.

Let's say you're on Youtube, and you're watching a video, and on the progress bar there are little dots where, if you click on them, you get extra text or links or pictures pertinent to the video, ads, etc. What are those things called? [more inside]

How do you say/express the idea of "culture shock" in Chinese (Mandarin)?
I do speak Chinese, so if you type in pinyin that will be fine.

Looking for some Chinese (or Japanese) surname translation help. I have this old lock for an chest and it has two pairs of Chinese characters that were hand engraved on it (pics inside). I'll be damned if I can make out more than one of the characters (昌）, but because of the arrangement I suspect they're two family names. And I'm guessing Chinese because none of the characters are common in the Japanese names I know. But it's all wild speculation on my part and I'll happily be corrected. Any ideas about what it is and where it came from is welcome. [more inside]

Chinese translation question: 1.2 台幣每字 translates into "1.2 dollar per character" via Babelfish. What is it really? 1.2 yuan per word? Or something else? What is this likely to be in USD?

I've bought a couple pieces of Chinese calligraphy in recent years and have been wondering what the characters on them mean/represent. Can someone here fluent in Chinese or just knowledgeable about Chinese calligraphy give me a decent translation of each? (Sorry about the frame glass glare in the first picture.) Thanks!

Can anyone help me translate Pinyin to English or know of a site that can translate phrases? A friend of mine was sent this, 'Wo zhen de shang ni chu, yen wei wo xi huan ni pe wo de shi zhen' and he has asked my help in finding out what it means. For all I know it could be totally insulting, inappropriate, etc... so apologies in advance if its offensive. Anyone?
