I work for the US division of my company; there are also divisions in Canada and the UK. Recently we laid off a few people, and were told that the work they did would be handled by the Canadian division. But we work with large video files (up to 10GB) so transferring them electronically is reasonably time consuming and often results in transfer failures. So why would my company do this? What's the best (fast, not necessarily cheap) way for two people to get from London/Heathrow to Bath mid-day on a Saturday? What's the comedic/facetious word/phrase for extremely high bandwidth as a result of just plain carrying a disk drive? I remember reading an article somewhere that referred to the high-latency, super-high-bandwidth transfer speeds obtained by just picking up a hard drive and taking it somewhere. I was thinking it was HAN (Human Area Network), but that apparently has a different meaning. I am trying to transfer a couple of websites from 1and1 beginner accounts to dreamhost. I usually do this by zipping or tarring the source site and then ftp. The rub is that the 1and beginner package does not allow shell access (although the target does). I'm looking at wget but I don't see a way to make it copy hidden files, which could bite me later if there are some config files buried in there somewhere. Probably missing something real obvious here. Any ideas?

I can’t seem to find this type of label anywhere. You generally see them as text printed on some kind of wax paper. You them apply them to some surface by scratching off or pressing hard on the text. It’s for printing words on areas that can’t go into a printer. I’d love to find a way to produce these myself or purchase them someplace. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried searches using different keywords that describe these labels but no luck. Thanks for your time. Have a great one.
