I know you are not my doctors and we will be visiting Dr M. The Doctor Who Runs, but in the meantime, any suggestions/experience would be most welcome.
Mr LyzzyBee wanted to start a running programme with me. As he was doing 3 mile walks once or twice a day for a total of 3 or 4 a week, and an hour on a Sunday on the cross-trainer/rower/bike combo, we started a bit more than a "couch to 5k"
We did the below training. He complained of running out of steam on the Sunday, and today he got shin pains. On the OUTSIDE not the inside of the shin bone, and he got a little lump by each shin bone (yuck) as he ran. Stopped as soon as (I noticed) he was in pain.
Running quite slowly, we're averaging 4.9-5 mph. I have a feeling I've pushed him too hard. What do you guys and gals think?

What are some yoga training programs or traditions that might be compatible with the Bikram yoga teacher training I've already done? I'd like to be able to teach classes beyond the 26-postures-2-breathing-exercises, and I'd also like to be able to teach a style of yoga that isn't as highly regulated in terms of restricting where/what you can teach.

Hey hive mind! So a friend of mine has an old dog with hip dysplasia and bad back legs. My friend needed a running partner and a new friend for said older dog, so she went out an got herself a pup (about a year old I think)
Now younger dog is nipping back legs of older dog, basically tormenting her. What should my (very upset about this) friend do?

How can I identify software for online registration for soccer training sessions? I'm thinking there are some solutions out there that are basically blackbox that can then be tailored to my site, but I haven't been able to turn them up. I don't want to use just something like regonline.com because I have people signing up for each session and there are dozens of different sessions in a week.

Bail me out. I need to find the best place for my wife to get additional training on Adobe Photoshop in Washington DC. This is her (nail bitting) only Christmas present and I haven't found the perfect place yet. She's a budding photographer and has most of the professional equipment she needs (Nikon D300, New Desktop w/ CS4, etc). I would classify her as currently at the top end of the intermediate skill range. I'd prefer night time classes, but can arrange for day care if it is an excellent class. Anything below $2,000 works. Bonus points for anything that leads to any Adobe certifications. Thanks! Any other suggestions would be great as well (she's learning Fireworks and InDesign right now too).

How do I keep my dog from grabbing food off the table/counter when when our backs are turned?

After reading about several different methods I find clicker training the most interesting but I've never done it before. Anyone have any suggestions or tips?

How do I get my 4 year old Jack Rusell to stop peeing on things? He IS potty trained, and neutered, but still seems to be "marking" furniture and corners all over my apartment, and I NEVER catch him in the act. I've heard this is an issue that is more common in Jack Russells. Is there anything I can do to deter this so he won't pee on my new couch?
