I am thinking about starting my own computer training business, which I think would be a good fit for me based on my passions, interests, and professional background. I have combed the internet and can't seem to find any information on the intricacies of the business. Does anyone have experience in the business as a trainer or entrepreneur? I would love to hear some intelligent opinions on how to become the worlds most successful independent computer trainer.

I wouldn't think it would be too hard to move from a career in Technical Writing (11 years) to a career as an Information Architect, but in order to do this, I think I gotta get back to school. What classes should I start with? Is it unreasonable to start applying for junior-level positions right now?

Have any recs for good adult-oriented martial arts training in the North/Northeast Dallas area? I'm twenty-seven, in reasonably good shape, and have no martial arts experience. I'm looking for good, experienced instructors, not a belt factory. I'm not too concerned about the style being taught, as long as the instruction is good. Thanks!

I have a two year old boy who needs to be potty trained. A friend, who moved away, had mentioned a book that he read to his children over the course of several weeks and, on their own, both children told their dad that they did not want to use diapers anymore. Anybody out there have similar experiences potty training? Any book/video suggestions?

I'd like your help in compiling a workout mix-cd of the most Awesome Cheesily Inspirational songs from movie training sequences. Think "Eye of the Tiger"... or even better, "Hearts on Fire" from the Rocky IV training sequence. And quite possibly the apex: Joe Esposito's "You're the Best" from the Karate Kid. (YOU'RE THE BEST! AROOOUND!) Stuff where you can't help but start going, "Yeah! I'm going to totally train in this montage to kick that guy's ass!" Doesn't even have to be from a training montage, just have that 'feel.'

I am trying to break into the Linux Server Administration field so I have been doing quite a bit of studying lately. I figured while I am studying the subject I might as well work towards a related certification. I am
leaning towards the
Linux Professional Institute Certification. Other certifications I am considering are
CompTIA’s Linux+ and
Red Hat’s RHCE. So which Linux certification is the best? I would say Red Hat is the most reputable of these three but I am concerned that their certification might be too Red-Hat-centric, and I don't want to be locked into one distro. Which one is the
easiest/cheapest to obtain? Which is the mostly
highly regarded in the industry? Are there others that I missed?

Recommendations on a heart rate monitor? I'm 27 and I go to the gym four to five days a week with a ratio of about 80% weight training (3-4 days) and 20% cardio (1-2 days). I'd like to do more interval training to lower my percentage body fat and many of the online resources describe this in terms of heart rate. Not knowing a thing about heart rate monitors, I thought I'd ask here.
