How to spec a work trailer so daily life won't suck?

My group of contractors works fulltime onsite at Big Agency, and Big Agency has run out of room and is considering getting trailers to put us in. These would be onsite, have water/sewer/electric. I'm hoping to get ideas from people who have worked in onsite trailers on features I should gently suggest Big Agency consider when they are checking out what to buy/rent. Group size is 8 people.

Help me find the world that's "In a world..."

CuriosityFilter: We all know that movie trailers that begin "In a world..." became so common that those three words became an in-joke thanks to Don LaFontaine. I know many spoof movies (like the Scary Movie series) have spoof-type trailers that start out with the voiceover, "In a world...". How many trailers actually have used that voiceover snippet in the beginning un-ironically, and what is the most famous one? Super bonus: What is the ratio to un-ironic trailers to spoof trailers that have picked up this meme? Are there other voiceover talents that have also used this phrase besides Don LaFontaine? I tried poking around his site, google and Wiki to no avail.

What is the incredibly common piece of movie trailer music that kicks in at about :54 of this trailer for No Reservations? It's the sort of sparse, rhythmic, marimba-y piece. I'd also be interested in knowing what other trailers it appears in, and where it was first used.

Help me buy a horse trailer

Talk to me about horse trailers. I need to buy a horse trailer before horse show season starts in the spring. I'm interested in advice / recommendations from anybody that has a horse and/or trailer.

What I'm leaning towards is a two horse bumper pull with a dressing room. I have a Durango with a HEMI as a tow vehicle. Ideally, I'd like to buy used, however the used market looks very thin, and these things don't seem to depreciate like I thought they would. New trailers of the two horse bumper pull with a dressing room variety appear to retail new for between $10K and $15K.

A related question if you have bought a trailer recently. How much of a discount off of list is reasonable from a trailer dealer? The numbers above are list price, and I would guess discounting is similar to the automotive or RV market.

Trailers (not the movie kind)

I'm thinking of getting a towbar and (camper) trailer, but I have two questions: How do I make sure that the trailer sits level when connected to my car, and why does the towing capacity of the car appear to have no reference to the total weight of the car and trailer and load in both?

How to Download a movie trailer?

How to download a movie trailer? Okay. So I'm not the smartest kid on the block. I need to download the Charlotte's Web full trailer, and can't seem to find a direct link. Sure, I can watch it - but how do I download the whole thing? If someone could provide a direct link for the entire file in WMV , I would appreciate it......

Please, I know this easy. Be gentle with me.

Luggage trailer recommendations.

We are taking our minivan with four kids, two adults, to the coast in Oregon.

My wife and I have an unresolved disagreement about which is best--a trailer, or a roof top carrier--for hauling all of our camping junk that won't fit in the vehicle. Please enlighten me about trailers. When filled with people, our 1999 Mercury Villager has almost no room for sleeping bags, tents, cooking supplies, etc.

The last time we camped on the coast we stayed in a yurt and used a crammed full fabric luggage carrier and shoved stuff on the floor.

Our kids are a bit bigger now and that may not work. If we had the money we'd get a used tent trailer. However, we are debating whether to get one or two rooftop plastic boxes, like the x-cargo sold by sears, OR a utility trailer of some sort.

We can get one of those ugly but functional utility trailers made from an old pickup truck. It has wiring for a trailer brake and lights. It looks big and heavy, and I don't want to destroy our engine.

Or we could get one of those flatbed utility trailers available at Home Depot, but I'm not sure how well it would do on an 800 mile road trip.

I have also seen "luggage trailers" but they seem pitifully tiny.

Please, be the father I never had and tell me the truth about trailers in wise and insightful ways...

WiFi in Mobile Home

I have an acquaintance who wants to put an wireless router in her mobile home (aluminum skinned trailer, just so there's no confusion) and access it from her Mother's trailer across the street. It's only about 50' but there's a narrow street in between so a long Cat5 won't work.

A mutual acquaintance is saying that this just won't work because the aluminum skins of the two trailers will suck up all those lovely radio waves.

Anyone have experience with WiFi in this type of situation (mobile home, RV, etc) and what kind of signal she's going to get. Are we going to need repeaters in the windows to get this to work at all or will a 802.11g router and a good card in the laptop going to get a decent signal.

Please, no trailer jokes. These are small-town folks, they have a good life but not a lot of money.

Evolution of the Movie Trailer

I have always wondered when the movie trailer became what it is today. When i watch trailers for old movies, they seem to have this crazy fanfare with the star's names in huge type, etc. Then trailers from the 60s and 70s seem to have no music at all, but just a man with a very low voice narrating the plot. When did they become the flashy music-driven mini-movies that they are now? I'm guessing around the time of Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I'd love to know the real answer.
