I have at least two options of going to Cape May from Madison, NJ. Everyone tells me traffic will be insane no matter when I leave. Anyway, it looks like I have at least two routes.
1) I can take the parkway all the way down.
2) I have the option of taking 206-S and then getting on the GSP right after Atlantic City near exit 38.
I'm thinking 206-S I'll hit less traffic. Where do people usually hit the brunt of the traffic heading down the shore? Thoughts on which route to take?
Thanks!

What's the best way to get across midtown Manhattan by bicycle? Looking at bike maps of the city, it seems there's no bike lanes going East-West between the lower 20s and wayy up in 90th St (on the east side) and 77th St (on the west side) Assuming I want to get across town by travelling in the 50s (or reasonably close to that), which street(s) should I take for the safest, least traffic-rife ride?

A blog I run stands to get some exposure on television, on radio, and in the newspaper. It's all likely to happen in the next month or so. I'm a little skeptical about conventional media's ability to drive traffic to a web site, and I'd like to know if anyone has experience with what to expect.

I can't for the life of me find a picture of a particular road sign, which I consistently misunderstood as a child. It's a traffic sign in North America that I saw many times as a kid but almost never any more. It was a yellow-orange sign with a "no" symbol and some random-looking detritus behind it, which I later understood to be a crumpled can. Probably a "no littering" sign, but a search on that or like terms seems to turn up nothing! A pretty silly question, I know!
I ask partly because when I was a kid, I thought the item behind the "no" sign was a mouser from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I was recently issued a minor traffic infringement by a Melbourne police officer. I told him that I believed the charge was unfair and that I intended to contest it in court. He told me that if I did, he'd then present me with an additional, more serious charge. Was this just bluster to dissuade me from contesting the charge, or could he in fact do that?
