I have a friend to runs a pizza place and I am helping him with his menu. We had a question about the legality (in terms of copyright or whatever) when using trademarked items on his menu that he also sells.

I recently completed a series of art prints for an upcoming art show. I thought while I was getting them printed I would submit them to Zazzle and make them available online. But 3 out of 4 were rejected because of "A copyright complaint from the rightsholder". I think my work is a clear use of parody and would not be confused with an official product.

What are the rules, or guidelines around the use of the (tm), (r) and (c) signs? They seem to be ubiquitous in corporate English, but as far as I can tell they're both unnecessary and ugly. Is putting a (tm) on a trademark something that's considered a required prerequisite to protecting it?

Hello, I'm applying for a trademark. Is it best to just head over to the uspto.gov site and take it from there? or use any pro bono or paid work I could find from an attorney. A laymen such as myself could lost in the wrong forms? Thanks

Usernames, trademarks, and Facebook. Someone e-mailed my friend, saying that he owned the trademark to his name and has the right to demand that he turn over his username to him.
