I'm learning Japanese with a tutor via Skype and recording my calls. At the same time, I'm taking notes on a text editor. It'd be super handy if my written notes had time codes next to them, so I could use them to figure out when in the recording my tutor said a given sentence. Does this exist?
I access four different email accounts from my gmail web browser. One of these accounts is for a job I have providing customer service for a business. I am supposed to keep track of the time I spend because I get paid hourly. Is there any automated app or way to track the time spent with a specific gmail account? Using chrome on Windows 8.1 Thank you.
I used to own only a Fitbit Charge wristband. Now I own the Fitbit and an Apple Watch. But as the Apple Watch doesn't have an official sleep tracking function, currently I have to wear the Fitbit to bed to track sleep, and then use the Sync Solver apps to synchronise sleep data and fitness data between Fitbit and Apple. It's all a bit of a kludge. Is there a way to hack the Apple Watch into tracking my sleep patterns? [more inside]
I've recently started counting calories and tracking my exercise. I understand that accuracy can be difficult with this sort of thing, but I refuse to accept My Tracks' statement that I only burn 158 calories on my 7 mile bike ride to work. Is there an immediate answer to this, and is there a $100ish fitness tracker that would do a better job in the future? [more inside]
I just read this comment, and thought this was AWESOME. But unfortunately, it kinda doesn't work. Does your city have an app (iOS preferable, but I can always get a cheap android phone to check it out), that has an AWESOME app for mass transit? Whats the app? "Real time tracker" is what I'm looking for (i think). It need not be awesome in terms of fonts, design, etc. I kinda just want it to be more than a list of schedules. [more inside]
I've recently become more interested in the workings and fluctuations of my body, as well as in losing weight. I have been weighing myself daily for the past month, and also recording details of my menstrual cycle for the past couple of months. I have noticed the interplay between these two things as well (I gained 2 pounds during my period and also mid-cycle [possibly ovulation?], and then lost it quickly). I am hoping to find a website (or websites) that will help me track these things and spit back for me interesting and useful data about my body and its trends. I'm especially interested in getting a weight loss trend line, and also seeing a prediction of when my period and ovulation will happen for me each month. I realize that one website may not do both things and I am happy dealing with each phenomenon separately. Any suggestions either for the most useful weight-tracker websites or cycle-tracker websites (or both together!)? Note that I do not have a smartphone so this needs to be online, not an app.
It's that time of year again when the REI dividend is in the air, and I am thinking about a Fitbit (though if a Jawbone is really what I want, persuade me). Criteria that are making this difficult inside. [more inside]
My organization is looking for some kind of an online pledge drive thermometer or progress bar widget that can accept and track pledges that are not monetary (i.e. "I will do X at least Y number of times.") Does this exist? [more inside]

Due to events beyond the scope of this AskMe, high-intensity exercise is currently off the table for me. I need to stay active in order to manage a bunch of minor but chronic health conditions, though, and I know from previous experience that gamification works really well to keep me on target. So I'm in the market for a Fitbit or something like one -- I have a pedometer app for my phone, but that doesn't work so well for on-all-day functionality. But which fitbit? [more inside]
Nerd alert: I'm playing a new rune priest in D&D. The class has tons of active and passive area effects to keep track of, which makes it both fun and challenging. Does anyone know of a worksheet I can use to make this easier? Something that I could glance at quickly to see what effects are active. I can certainly write one myself, but I'd like to save time if possible. Thanks!

I manage a non-profit in New Jersey and often need to make a large number of calls in a short time to supporters, clients and/ or donors. I like to set up a to do list of calls that I can run through and just make call after call to get through my lists as fast as I can. I have an HTC Thunderbolt phone. I've tried to do lists, but none of the ones I've used are not tied in to the phone dialer. I want to be able to click on a phone number in my list and have it call up the dialer. It'd be awesome if it also tracked my calls on Google Calendar. If there is a to do list app out there that connects to the dialer on Android then I would prefer to use that. But if I have to I'll keep my to do and call lists separate. Thanks!

I'm looking for a countdown app for the iPhone that does NOT count down to a specific event, using dates. I need to complete 4000 (very small, identical) tasks and I'd like to be able to watch the number go down as I complete those tasks in batches. An app that can be shared with another person would be even better. [more inside]

I will soon be distributing a bunch of large scientific and research datasets, all entirely legal for redistribution, many as large as a few gigabytes. Bittorrent is the best solution for this. Many respectable webhosting sites don't allow Bittorrent trackers; too many of those that do seem fly-by-night. I have a budget for this and want something respectable and reliable. Recommendations? I've got a torrent file that uses the old Lokitorrent tracker, so it's unusable as is. This much, I know. My problem is that I can't figure out how to make it work otherwise. I have tried changing the tracker address, but I'm learning quickly that if the tracker I point to isn't listing this file, it's of no use. Is there another way around this problem? It's a file I've been waiting MONTHS for.

When we got satellite TV I was disappointed by the nearly non-existent international channels. Now with bittorrent and broadband it seems I could redress that problem, but I'm having difficulty finding sites that have trackers for television programs from countries other than the US. Someone here pointed me to the excellent uknova for British programs, but what about sources for languages other than english?
