What's New In Philadelphia?

Travelling to Philadelphia in mid August for a break - I'm a regular visitor but I haven't been in 3 years - what's new in town that I can't miss? I like fine dining, gay bars, unusual museums, vintage or discount menswear, and science/engineering sights/tours. Assume I've done all the major attractions like the Mutter and Eastern State. I have no interest in Founding Fathers stuff. [more inside]

Toronto For First Timers!?

We're NYCers going on a 2 week trip to Toronto on the 26th. We've never been! What are the new exciting sites? The old established stuff? (Again, we've never been!) We like history, werid engineering dork stuff, movie stuff, dive bars, gayness, unusual stores and secondhand vintage menswear. We don't drive, but we'd like a nice trip out of town by train or even bus. Exciting cuisine a must overall. [more inside]

Two Weeks in Spain, how to divide up the time between cities?

We're going to Spain for two weeks in January. I've been told Barcelona is very fun and Madrid is dull but has great museums. How many days should we devote to each city? We like fine food, queer events, second hand clothes shopping, fancy bars, historical sites, and things you don't need a car to see. Would love to go out into the countryside if we can on public transportation. Is there a great reason to stay in Bracelona and just day trip to Madrid? Or vice versa? [more inside]

Madhattan

Manhattan Mad Men Tour: Fellow I know coming into town is a huge Mad Men buff. I'd like to show him around places that evoke the show's era and style. What places are like the Campbell apartment, the Pierre, the Oak Room, and such? Is it even possible to do it on a budget? [more inside]
