We're going to Spain for two weeks in January. I've been told Barcelona is very fun and Madrid is dull but has great museums. How many days should we devote to each city? We like fine food, queer events, second hand clothes shopping, fancy bars, historical sites, and things you don't need a car to see. Would love to go out into the countryside if we can on public transportation. Is there a great reason to stay in Bracelona and just day trip to Madrid? Or vice versa? [more inside]
I would love your recommendations for conveniently-located, secure, and moderately-priced accommodations in Barcelona. [more inside]
We're staying for four nights in Barcelona in mid September. First visit for both of us. Really would appreciate hotel/B&B recommendations, and of course what sights and restaurants the hive mind recommends.
I'm going to Barcelona in October and am going to take in a football match at Camp Nou. Tickets are currently freely available in the stadium - is there a particuarly good or bad place for a neutral/tourist to sit?
What are some of the best things to do in Spain in October? [more inside]
Advice please for a family-friendly holiday in Barcelona at the end of May. (Where should we stay? What should we visit?) [more inside]
My wife and I are going to be in Spain for one week in March. We'd like to take in as much as possible, but not run ourselves ragged (especially since the laid back atmosphere of Spain is one of the draws). What are some things that you must see and/or do if you're in Spain? [more inside]
