My laptop screen is separating from the rest of the computer! It looks like one of the two hinges is hanging on for dear life, and I'm concerned -- if it gets much worse, it will be detached on that side. Is there anything I can do? [more inside]

I'm being tempted by tapwater-priced Toshiba Satellite notebooks. Can't seem to get a fix on any kind of popular opinion on how their owners feel about them or the brand. Anyone have any experiences?
