I was working on a paper last night, basically half dead, and somehow I managed to change my toolbar. Here is a picture (Click on it for a close up with a helpful paint arrow). Instead of being a row of my windows, it now shows two of the windows open (icon only) with a scroll bar on the right side. I have Vista Home Premium 32. This is a major annoyance because I'm trying to write papers and I have about a billion windows open, so any help received, I'm grateful for.

In Firefox 1.5.0.12, I want my Bookmarks Toolbar in a very specific place in my window, displayed in a very specific way. Is there a way to move the toolbar to the lower right corner, have the favicons stack up in columns, and have it share/truncate the space of my tab column? [more inside]

I have the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar Beta 3 installed in IE7 on Windows XP. When I turn on the toolbar (Tools>Toolbars>Developer Toolbar) is shows up underneath the address bar up top. Sweet. But when I close the browser and reopen it the toolbar is no longer showing again. It just won't stay active. I have to got through the Tools>Toolbars>Developer Toolbar routine every time I want to use it, which is basically anytime I'm in IE since I only use it to test pages. Boo. How do I get it to stay put? A registry tweak perhaps? Mystical incantations? Mefi will know what to do.

I have been using Firefox for forever. I keep folders with my most used bookmarks in the Bookmarks Toolbar (View -> Toolbars -> Bookmarks Toolbar). I also tweak my Firefox browser to oblivious and back again on a regular basis. Recently, I think something I did make the bookmarks toolbar disappear, and I can't figure out what it was. Is there anything remotely similar in Opera 9 to Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar? Opera seems so much faster, but unless I can get quick access to my bookmarks without having to use their annoying "start toolbar" or the Bookmarks menu at teh top, I doubt I'll be able to make the switch.

Every once in a while, when I search Google, I end up with some weird search results. All ads. It doesn't happen all the time and I don't know if it's Google stooping to a new low, or if it's me and some kind of adware. Note that I also get a pop-up window with this page that has a couple other ad links.
