I'm looking for a fast laser printer (black and white is fine) with low running costs and not too invasive software. Ideally one with separate toner and drum cartridges and easily refillable from non-official sources.

Best place to buy replacement toner cartridges for home HP Laser printer? Buying the HP toner costs arm and/or leg at your typical big box stores. Would like to find a cheaper, reputable place to buy toner. Can't find one among all the sketchy places that look like cheaptoner.biz and buy-toner-from-us.com. Please help

Remanufactured toner cartridge is causing recurring paper jams. But the remanufactured toner cartridge looks identical to the original toner cartridge! What could possible be causing the paper to jam, and has anyone ever figured out a fix or workaround so as to avoid buying the higher cost tone cartridges?

How do laser and inkjet printers work? I know the basics, of course, but I am looking for serious expertise at the level of the actual chemistry and physics... things like fuzer specs, toner chemistry, deposition, transfer, particle masses, exotic materials; in short... the stuff an actual expert would know.

Looking for a recommendation on a decent vac suitable for cleaning toner-messy laser printers. It seems a regular run-of-the-mill vacuum does not play nice with toner due to the amounts of static charge that builds up when sucking up the toner. Can fry the electronics and all, so I have read. Most seem to run in the
$200 ballpark, but then I saw this one for
$15. What gives? Okay, it doesn't have all the extra attachments and all, but, jeez.... it's $15. Is this a decent vac, or am I "getting what I pay for"?

Why does laser toner have an expiry date? My laser toner cartridge finally ran "dry" after 8 years of use (same cartridge) and the replacement refill that I purchased has an expiry date which is listed as a little over year from now. I also believe that most new cartridges also have an expiry date but since mine lasted for so long, I don't understand the purpose of having an expiry date.

My office has a lot of empty toner cartridges from laser printers sitting around. What should I do with them? I don't feel good about throwing them in the trash, but whenever I research selling the cartridges to a company, I can only get something like 1 dollar for each (and that will barely cover the shipping costs). What do I do??
