What do you call your smallest toe? [more inside]
Hey All, I think I know the answer to this questions already, but I thought I would throw it out there to you, a trusted audience of my peers. I cracked my toenail on the biggest toe. It looks like someone took a nibble out of it. Nothing hurts, there is no damage to the nail bed. Should I just let it grow out? [more inside]
Whenever I wear basically any leather shoes that aren't boots, I get the EXACT same blister on the baby toe of my right foot. (Not just leather shoes, actually—sandals, Crocs, etc do it too). In most cases I feel pain in the first few SECONDS of wearing them. What can I do about this short of amputating my toe? The pain really becomes unbearable quickly and it's really hard for me to wear dress shoes because of this. Band-aids help somewhat but am I doomed to be putting them on my baby toe for life?
On May 20th, I stubbed my pinkie toe very very badly. I wasn't sure if I'd broken it, but it hurt enough that I taped it up for a couple of days. The reading I did suggested that that was all a doctor would probably do for a broken pinkie toe, anyway. The toe swelled up some, and I experienced some pretty dramatic bruising, much of it focused on the "knuckle" area of my foot, right above the toe. Weeks later, I'm still having episodes of pain that come and go. I'm not sure how to proceed. Details within... [more inside]

Without a podiatrist, how do I fix my big toe? I do not think it is a hangnail, and it looks normal to the eye. But I could bump it on a down pillow and it will be so painful I want to chop it off. And it's a delayed pain. [more inside]
Broke my foot 2 years ago - seems like the gait has been altered and now my shoes don't fit as well and pressure started being put on my baby toe right on the inside between that toe and the adjacent one and a small corn has developed making every step excruciating. So I went to get one of those silicone inserts and it's helping somewhat. Also got new shoes. But now what? Will the corn disappear by itself? Is there anything that's not hyper-toxic that I can use on it to hasten the healing? I can't afford to go to a podiatrist right now - so anything that is suggested has to take this into consideration.
