I have SO many things to do at my new job, and more things get added every day. I'm a pretty organized person in general but I feel like I have no time to even GET organized in this position. My current habits aren't helping, though. There's got to be a better way... Help!

I'm having trouble finding up-to-date resources for managing tasks. I freelance and handle about 3 clients that want to push through dozens of small tasks and projects each week. Is there anything with the functionality of basecamp but on a much smaller scale? A well-designed template for a collaborative task list via google documents would work too.

I'm trying to find a specific to do webapp I used a few months ago. It was of minimalist style, the main colors were red/grey/black on a white background. The main features I'm looking for (so if you know of a different one that does this, let me know) was that it was simple to add a task- you just typed it on a line, and that subtasks were also easy to add- as I recall you just hit enter for a new line and then tab to go each level deeper into tasks. I believe you could hide any sub-tasks by sort of retracting them into the top level task (if that makes sense?). Does that sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks! If I remember any more details I'll update the post.

How do you keep track of other people's to-do's? I have a lot of people who report indirectly into me or who have to supply me with answers to questions. What is your system for keeping track of all of the things that other people have to do? How do you track deadlines or things that are late? Help me create a group to-do list.

what sort of device can I buy to show my google tasks next to a corkboard, so I see them on my way out the door?
do any photo frames do wireless sync? my first thought was a cheap old itouch, but the screen is tiny, and it does more than I need.
low power use would also be a plus (i.e. not a laptop or cheap desktop with wall mounted monitor, which I also thought of - I do have an extra 17" sitting around)
I could consider switching to another tasks app if required for the best solution, though I do enjoy gtasks in gmail and calendar.

TaskList Special Request:
MyLifeOrganized is my preferred tasklist software, because I can do exactly what I need - simply create new tasks and sibling/ child tasks rapidly and unrestricted, and drag and drop them into category groups. Problem: I have so many tasks, one huge vertical list isn't really working for me, nor does it jive with my widescreen workspace. Solution: I want to view each category group (eg immediate actions, projects, documents, clients etc) in it's own vertical list, and each list is displayed side by side in a horizontal view. Is there any Win XP tasklist software *not web-based - no internet access at work* that does this?

I have a 30th birthday coming up in NYC and I'm trying to think of some fun restaurants, places to go (i.e. bowling, paintball, karaoke), and or things to do.
I'd like for a group of us to be able to eat and do something (like bowl) at the same time then we'd all go out to a bar afterward.
Anyone have any fun restaurant or party place suggestions in NYC?
btw, not interested in bowling or karaoke suggestions

Can anyone suggest a good, relatively simple open-source or low-cost file/client management program suitable for use by a small law firm? The software should be able to schedule/calendar, manage documents, track tasks/to-dos, and associate all of these things according to particular clients/matters. Something that syncs between machines is a definite plus, as is something that isn't a resource hog. We manage the accounting side separately, so that needn't be a component.
