My boyfriend is taking me on my first ski trip to Beaver Creek, Colorado. This is my first time both skiing and seeing the Rockies. Besides skiing and relaxing sore muscles in a hot tub afterward, what else is a must see or must do in this area? Thanks!

I have a plan to visit NYC with my best friend next weekend. I've been to NYC about six or seven times now, and I have a few things in mind. Can you help me find some other cool things to do based on what I'm already thinking about checking out? [more inside]

Is there a website or something where i can find interesting/odd festivals, events, competitions ie : state fairs, log rolling competition, auctions, strong man competitions, pop culture debates? I feel like you already have to be in these circles to know about the events but i'm just intersted in doing different things. East coast or nation wide would be great.

So I have a friend flying in to Salt Lake City to visit on the weekend of December 8-10, getting in Friday morning and leaving Sunday night. What is there to do around town that weekend that's really awesome?
