He remembers it involved a modern day guy getting off of a school bus and suddenly being in Arthurian times. This of course rules out "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court", and several others I've found on google. Does anyone remember a book with this specific scenario? Thanks.

What is this children's book (and its sequel, if I recall correctly?) A girl takes an elevator in an old house/building to a floor that opens up several generations ago. She meets children from the past there. There is a scene where the narrator finds an old photograph and sees the girl in it. In this book, or possibly its sequel, there is some going back and forth in time to find buried treasure at the house in modern times. I don't remember the reading level but it may be considered a children's book or YA book. It was probably written sometime between 1960 and 1980, and I think I read it in the early 1990s.

I'm writing a series of time travel novels. Since my first one is scheduled to be published in November, I've been debating what my next one should be. One idea I have is for a young woman in San Francisco or Los Angeles to find herself 100 years in the future (in 2110 or so), but I need some help imagining a realistic future.

Trying to remember the name of a sci-fi novel that involved time travelers. I *seem* to remember there was an organization dedicated to keeping the space-time continuum in order, and that organization consulted with human intelligences along the timeline, including vastly advanced human intelligences that basically weren't human anymore.

I'm trying to find a SciFi short story I read as a kid - I read this story as a kid in the '70s or '80s. It was in a paperback collection of SF short stories I got from the school library, it could have been published anytime from the '50s to the late '70s. I have no idea of the title or the author, just my memory of the story. It involved someone who was walking backwards through time to get home. Some scientific accident had propelled him hundreds of years forward in time. On the wreckage of the lab, he appeared, briefly, once every year (or maybe every decade or century?). From an observer's point of view, someone flashed in and out of existence predictably on that spot. I think a holiday formed around the appearance. From the person's point of view, he was walking backwards through time, from the far future back towards the date of the accident. Each "flash" was a step in that walk.
Anyone know what this story is called or who wrote it?

Give your best examples of the SF/ Survivalist/ Wish Fullfillment sub-genre "libertarian engineers do everything better" or "objectivist superman saves history". More specifically ones where someone is the last man on earth/sendt back in time and constructs a free market utopia through sheer smarts and rationality ( with himself on the top of it, of course).

Can you recommend any good stories/books that deal with unobtrusive time travel tourism? Want to help remember a book title? 'Course ya do! It's from the 80s and, if I remember correctly, involves some kids that discover a new game at the local arcade. There's a pilot's helmet on top of the machine, and when they try it on and attempt the game they find they can travel through time. I believe the cover was a picture of the machine and the helmet. At one point they use it to break into a research facility or something, but before that I think they go back too far and it's still being built (leading to some fretting about jumping forward in time and ending up halfway through a wall or floor). I know somebody out there can field this one!

The distinct part is, the visual style. I remember it being still pictures with transitions between them, with the actors talking. Sometime like 1 picture ever 1-2 seconds.
