I'd like to create a project timeline guide that does not have dates. It is a general guide which indicates at what point in the process a certain action takes place. The timeline would actually be more comprised of several different time lines that overlap. Timelines a, b, and c (etc) wouldn't correspond to individuals but rather larger tasks that are occuring concurrently. I also would need to easily be able to export/print this timeline. My question is: is there a free program that I can use to create this? I have access to photoshop and illustrator but I'd rather not use those. I'm using a Mac running 10.5

Tips on preventing work burnout and handling job stress. How do you handle an overwhelming workload with grace and sanity? How can I quickly become a good project manager? What should I do until I have the project management skills to actually handle the workload I've been assigned? (I'm kind of freaking out here.)

DesignFilter. Help me poke and prod my nondesigner's mind to consider new ways to present that hackneyed standby of the elementary school social studies textbook, the timeline. Too much information inside.

A geek with an internet connection, time to kill, and money to burn: it's a Good Thing. So I've spent the morning looking at
cool maps,
interesting posters, and
timelines. I'd love to look at more. Can you recommend sites with cool, geeky, information-packed maps and.or posters that would look good on a wall? I'd love to find a good historical timeline, for example. Help me fritter my life away!
