For about 4 or 5 days my Twitter timeline (on the twitter website) has not been updating with new tweets. Previously it would show a message at the top indicating "X new tweets". I've tried tweeting Twitter support but got no reply. Is this a bug or a sitewide change?
I spent about five years compiling a technology timeline. It started as a class project and grew into an obsession. For a while, I was making an enormous number of Wikipedia contributions. After a while, I started posting my work to my blog . Then, I started writing "This Day in History" columns for a few paying venues. It's actually grown well beyond what's currently available on my blog. The problem is that I've grown bored of pouring time into the project. [more inside]

I'm looking for examples of visual timelines in movies, video games, or fiction. Scenes where a span of time is represented metaphorically, preferably as a physical object, diagram, or action. A good example is this scene from Me and You and Everyone We Know in which two characters use a street as a visual metaphor for their potential relationship. [more inside]

I am trying to figure out how to get to this timeline part of Google (in this example, it is following the space program) from the Google main page. I originally got this page from a previous mefite's cool post about history of rock and roll and plugged in my own terms. I tried getting to this point from the homepage....when I type in "Google Timeline" it gives me a timeline to search newspapers. If anyone has wisdom, let me know. I really like this tool but want to explain to others how to get to this page rather than have them plug and play from my link. Thanks!

I'm entering a Literature graduate program and I'd like to fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge of the British/American canon. I've been looking for a timeline of literary periods to assist me in identifying where my major gaps are. It would (ideally) have major authors and for bonus points, their major works. I've been googling for about 45 minutes now and I can't find anything substantive. I would pay a pretty decent premium to have it poster-sized to hang above my desk. [more inside]

Must be in TimeLine form. Not something vague and basic -- needs to have lots of detail.
