I'm home sick from work today, but not bed-ridden. Are there any small life-maintenance-type projects I can do while I'm home? I've already cleaned out my email, done laundry, searched for new music, organized my digital photos and checked out my daily sites. Suggestions?

In the early 1970s (?) there was a subscription book series sold by Time Life Books. This was a wonderfully selected collection of reading material that I enjoyed reading every month. My set was destroyed in a fire and I am rebuilding it a book at a time from used book stores. Where can I find a complete list of the paperback titles published by Time-Life Books in this series? I can account for 91 titles. Were there more than 91 titles published?
AskMeFi Physics folk: How do astronomers account for the temporal distinctiveness of their galactic subjects in their calculations? I understand that observations of the red shift of quasars delinates a speed increase in the expansion of the universe - yet my brain explodes when I try to understand how the enormous expanse of time is factored into these models. I have been scouring the web for a way to get easily-available local-area movie schedules via RSS. Yahoo, Google, and IMDB all present perfectly decent HTML of this information, and there is one My Yahoo to RSS service; sadly, it's ad hoc and frequently fails to set the localization cookie. What am I missing? This should be a revenue oppotunity for the studios and theaters - where is the sweet creamy RSS I crave?

Travelling across a time zone by air is ambiguous. It's hard to tell exactly when it happens. When travelling across time zones by air, when does the time change? Especially across multiple zones. I've noticed that I never see or hear a reference to the time while onboard. For instance, a movie might start at "fifteen minutes after takeoff," but not at 4:45pm. [more inside]

A few months ago I told my long time girlfriend that I was planning on asking her to marry me in August. I felt pressured in to saying that at the time and I think it's time we go our separate ways. She has been working on the things that bother me and for the past month been altogether great. I am just not ready for marriage (excuse) and I think that in the long run I would not be happy in this relationship. I would feel too controlled, too restricted, and lonely. She is very sensitive and I'm afraid of what she might do if I break up with her, but I have to do something, it's August! She doesn't really have any close friends and is not close to her family. I'm it, really. I love her a lot and care about what happens to her, I just feel like I should probably move on. Any help? [more inside]

When the time for reading is limited does the dedicated reader read only when she is in the mood, or does he read regardless of mood? I'm a family man with an 7 to 4 job. My favorite time for reading is the morning when I'm at my most mentally alert. At night I tend to be too tired to concentrate. I'd like to know how you MeFi guys fit reading into your schedules. Where and when do you read? Do you need silence, or do you like background sound? General comments and specific tips all welcome.
