I need to renew my car tabs, but my ex-girlfriend stacked up $800+ in parking tickets on my car, unbeknownst to me. There's no WAY she's going to pay for them (she's got her own problems that lead to no money, and I really don't wanna talk to her anyhow). What to do? [more inside]

I have been scouring the web for a way to get easily-available local-area movie schedules via RSS. Yahoo
, and IMDB
all present perfectly decent HTML of this information, and there is one My Yahoo to RSS
service; sadly, it's ad hoc and frequently fails to set the localization cookie. What am I missing? This should be a revenue oppotunity for the studios and theaters - where is the sweet creamy RSS I crave?

My boyfriend got a notice in the mail that he owes $600 for two parking tickets from 2004. Though he doesn't think the city of Baltimore is just making up the original fines, this is the first he's heard of them or the penalties. The original fines add up to $84. Is there anything he can do to eliminate or reduce the penalties? [more inside]

I got a ticket this morning on my car in Boston on Newbury Street. Do I have to keep paying the meter all day or does the ticket allow me to just keep my car there for as long as I need to? It's 25 bucks for another ticket, and its 25 cents for 15 minutes on the meter. Im out of quarters, im lazy, and I want to go back to bed.

So I trundled along to Ticketmaster.co.uk to get Wembley tickets for Bon Jovi. I've been to a few different gigs in my time - and always the best "premium/gold" seats are completely sold out before we even get a look in. Is there a secret way to get these tickets, or are they instantly booked up by media/music types?

I will be in New York City on Sunday for a few hours (from about 10am to 7pm). I would like to attend the 2pm show of Avenue Q
. What is the best way for me to get tickets without spending 2-3 hours standing in line at the box office trying to get standby/lottery seats? Is this even possible?

What's the best way to buy tickets for a high-demand event as soon as they go on sale? Is there a better way than hitting refresh at ticketmaster? Is buying at an outlet better? Since the number of people going is in flux, does quantity matter? Only relevant Askme thread found here.

Okay, despite my dislike for Star Wars, my father loved
it. When I was about 3, he took us to a showing of the first three movies. I have not seen the fourth and fifth because I was waiting to do the same for the sixth. Now that my father has passed away (last year, don't worry) it reaffirms my desire to go to a showing of all three movies even though I'm not a fan of the series. Where/how can I get tickets before they degenerate into an eBay frenzy? Which is to say, I'd like to get them before they are scalped/resold, because I'm not interested in paying huge money. Any sites to watch/feeds I can monitor? [more inside]

Travel prices question. I might have to take a sudden trip to Europe and the cheapest last minute airfares were all over $1,500. But there are also many hotel + flight package deals advertised for the same price or even less. How can this be? And as I've never done the package thing, is it a good way to go? Any hidden pitfalls?

I may end up with an extra set of tickets to the April 16th performance of Tristan & Isolde at the Paris Opera. If so, what would be the best way to go about selling them? eBay? Is there a Parisian version of Craigslist? (aside from paris.craigslist.com, which doesn't seem too trafficked..)

AirlineFilter: Is it wise to wait until the last minute to buy plane tickets? Robocop and I will be flying to London at the end of February. I've been tracking plane ticket prices on and off for a couple of weeks, and am alarmed that they've been climbing steadily (and I've been looking at every discount ticket site out there). On the one hand, I'm thinking "buy now before they get more expensive," but I wonder if the prices will drop the closer it gets to our departure date. We're only going for a weekend, so our travel dates aren't very flexible, which may be part of the problem. Any advice from seasoned travellers?

My husband is going to court in Atlanta/Fulton County next week for a speeding ticket. He has an unpaid speeding ticket in another state from two years back, but was able to renew his license here without any problems at all. The primary reason he's going to the court date is because we can't afford to pay the fine before then and they don't accept payments the day of the court date without you appearing in court. I'm scared the judge will somehow see the unpaid speeding ticket and my husband will immediately be thrown in jail. What is the likelihood of this happening? Am I being irrational?

I run a not-for-profit theatre company. It's a 501(c)(3) corporation. We would like to take our own ticket orders online via credit card. We're currently using Smarttix.com, but they take a big chunk out of each ticket sale -- plus they charge us a $75 "setup fee" per show.
I'm wondering if there are other services I could switch to that would be more cost-effective.
