Can anyone point me to actual data on how often motorists receive traffic tickets? I'm looking for where the top of the bell curve is, so to speak - obviously, individuals vary widely, which is kind of the point of my question - how often does the "median" driver receive traffic tickets? I was issued two citations for speeding from New York State Police in the mid 90's. I never paid them. When I got the second one, I assumed that the officer would arrest me or at least mention the first but he did not. I have never had a New York State driver's license and I have had licenses renewed by the state of which I was a resident at the time and the one in which I have resided for ten years. Nor any problems with insurance. Should I do anything about this? [more inside]

TrafficTicketFilter: I've been asked to prove that I have paid all my traffic tickets for the past 5 years and I have no clue how. Where should I call/go to get retroactive traffic ticket records? city court? state court? DMV? This is in Atlanta, Georgia. [more inside]
