I had to cancel a ticket I bought on Orbitz and I now have $648.04 to spend on a ticket with Korean Air. I'm very open on where I would go. How would I go about searching - and where - to find out how to get the most bang for my buck with this? Google Flights? ITA? And how would i search?
Traveling to Japan for the first time in October! We (party of 2) have JR Passes, which apparently means we can board non-reserved shinkansen cars w/o any interaction with ticket booth staff. The question is, is this wise, or are we still likely to find ourselves standing or split up on some trains? [more inside]
I am an idiot who cannot count to three or read a calendar. As a result, I completely missed the July window to buy international tickets for the Studio Ghibli Museum for a date in early October. I know I can buy through bridge.jpn, who will grab tickets for me from Lawson. However, they only sell October tickets starting from 1 September. Is this the earliest October tickets are available from Lawson? [more inside]
I am going to the Chicago shows. I have mail order commemorative tickets that are letter envelope sized with some amazing art work on the front of each ticket. I would like to keep the tickets and keep them in pristine condition. If I use them for entry, keeping them pristine much less keeping them at all is highly unlikely. It is a Dead show after all. Things happen. [more inside]

First speeding ticket. What should I know and expect from this point forward? [more inside]
I need to plan and purchase the most complicated flight I've ever planned and purchased before. I am SUPER BROKE and SUPER FLEXIBLE. I'm hoping you can answer a few questions (inside) about how to plan this. [more inside]
My friend was riding his bike through Brooklyn early Sat morning. Streets were quiet and he was not stopping at all the red lights, just slowing & crossing the (mostly) vacant intersections. Unbeknownst to him there was a cop in a patrol car following him about 1/2 a block back. After multiple blocks the cop finally pulled him over and issued separate tickets for every red light, totally about $800 worth. Although there is no dispute that he went through the lights, this was a very dick-ish move. How to protest in court? [more inside]
Mme Naberius and I have long wanted to see a broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion (I drive a Volvo too!) and since we now live near Wolf Trap Farm, where they traditionally do a show each year, we decided now was the time. We know it's a popular show and figured tickets would go fast. But, despite checking to see when tickets would go on sale, and jumping in literally the moment they became available, we could still only get seats way the hell back in the back of the Filene Center, practically out on the lawn. What gives? [more inside]
I am looking to buy and re-sell some Ohio State University football Season tickets in order to make a profit. (This is legal for me to do, see more inside.) To not get screwed over, I'd like to find some data showing 1: What price were season tickets selling for in 2013 or previous years, (the more specific data the better). 2: What time of year (specific date) is the most profitable time to sell season tickets? (I imagine very early or very late in the season would result in lower selling price, but there is probably a peak window for highest selling price, e.g. x weeks before opening game) [more inside]
My dad was diagnosed with cancer in February. He lives in a different state. On a recent visit to see him, he suggested that my husband and I buy refundable airline tickets in case my dad's condition gets unexpectedly worse and I need to travel to see him on short notice. He thinks that this might be cheaper for me than having to buy tickets on very short notice. My impression is that nonrefundable tickets are fairly expensive, and I'm not sure if I can buy one that's open-ended enough for that purpose (my dad's prognosis is 1-3 years). I'm wondering if I should just wait and either 1) look for last-minute travel on Hotwire/Expedia/whatever or 2) accept being gouged for last-minute airline tickets. I'd appreciate any advice on what the best option is here, especially if there are some that I'm not thinking of right now.
I'm a big fan of RuPaul's Drag Race. I often watch the series online weeks or months after initially airs but this season I'm caught up and I'd really like to see the finale. They had it once or twice in L.A. but most often it is in NYC (or has been for the last few years). Other than the sweepstakes to win airfare to the finale I can't find any information about how to request or purchase tickets on the internet. I tried contacting LogoTV (no response) and tweeted at RuPaul asking her for advice - but I know she's busy. Anyone have any advice on how to find out how to purchase tickets?
I'm looking for options to bring event ticketing "in house," to avoid needing to pay a ticketing processing fee on top of the payment processing. Ideally, this system would also allow for attendees to also register for on site events in advance, ie panels, presentations, and classes. Suggestions? [more inside]

I'm planning on going to see Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen do Waiting for Godot (AMAZING!). The tickets are a lot, from $100-300. Because it's already that much, it would really stink to get some of the cheaper tickets and be dissatisfied with them. Can you tell me which tickets to buy? Seating chart inside. [more inside]
I'll be in London soon and wanted to see the West Ham vs Aston Villa Premier league game. I could not seem to get tickets through either team, and the only other options I see are websites that have lots of reviews that people got bad tickets and no refund. Are there any suggestions from people in London or premier league fans on how to get tickets?
The restaurant Next in Chicago sells tickets rather than taking reservations. The tickets sell out months in advance, but the restaurant will occasionally have same-night cancellations. They post these on their Facebook page. If you're quick (and lucky!) you can score a table for that night. I'm neither quick nor lucky, but I have an important special occasion to celebrate. Is there anything like an IFTT recipe that will help me? [more inside]
A local non-profit I'm with holds monthly events and sells tickets. Right now the tickets are printed in bulk. We have full price tickets, student/senior tickets, and comp (free) tickets. We'd like to have more flexibility to introduce different price points as test runs and easily track how they go. We'd also like to be able to keep better tabs on the comp tickets, by differentiating tickets given to volunteers versus comp tickets given to sponsors, for example. [more inside]

I really really want to see the upcoming Broadway production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Neil Patrick Harris, and will be planning a trip to NYC around it as soon as I have tickets. The show is supposed to premier Spring 2014. Tickets are not yet on sale, and all the sources I've found say there's no information available yet about when they will go on sale. So how far in advance to tickets to Broadway shows generally go on sale? What are the best Twitter accounts, mailing lists, blogs, etc. to follow to find out the on-sale date as soon as it's announced? I'm usually pretty good at this, but I'm having a surprisingly hard time finding this stuff out, and I really don't want to miss it!

The problem: Boyfriend has been living in Central America for several years--he's not a permanent resident or citizen, but gets his passport stamped every 3 months (just takes a quick trip across the border). This seems typical of lots of expats in the area, and there are no problems with the host country so far. Boyfriend has an Italian passport. He's currently visiting me in the States. He also visited last October, and when we were at the airport for his return flight, the nice lady at United told us he couldn't fly back to Central American country without a ticket showing that he would leave this country within 3 months [more inside]

I have 4 courtside tickets to the finals (Sunday) at BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, near Palm Springs. The tickets have not sold on Stubhub or its competitors despite competitive pricing. What are my options to sell, as we get closer to the event date? I will be on location. I've listed on Palm Springs Craigslist, but how else can I make sure I sell them at a fair price without a big hassle? [more inside]
