A couple of my friends are coming to New York to visit near the end of July, and we want to take in a show (preferably a musical). We're all students and we're trying to find cheap tickets, but we want to have this sorted out in advance instead of waiting to buy tickets day-of. Does anyone know a good way to do this? I'm in New York if it's something that needs to be done in person, although through a website would be preferable. We're just looking for good deals or discounts, or something. Also I know nothing about Broadway, so recommendations for fun shows would be very welcome!

Frustration filter.... I got a parking ticket from a city I've never been to... I got a notice from a collection agency for a parking ticket issued by Lynwood California. Lynwood California is at least 500 miles from my home and I've never been anywhere near there. I'm sending in my objection to the ticket, obviously, but I've got a few questions: 1. Could it be a simple problem of the cop writing the license plate number down wrong? 2. If not, how can I find out if this is some kind of fraudulent scheme? 3. A few months ago, I was stopped by the IL State Police, and I received a ticket. I was pulled over the other night after making a right turn at a stop sign. I believe i came to a complete stop but believe the officer could not properly see the sign or intersection from where he was standing. ( they seemed to be pulling lots of cars over: i watched three get pulled over in the short time i was stopped) How can i decide whether to contest this case? In my mind the key variables are: keeping a clean driving abstract so my insurance rates don't go up versus the hassle of going to court and potentially losing the case ( i am planning to photograph the site to see how strong my evidence looks and don't know yet). How would i discover whether this would affect my rates? In hawaii. Geico is the insurer
