I need to migrate about 5gb+ of email from the local folders in Thunderbird to IMAP in Thunderbird. There are a lot of folders and a lot of subfolders, and migrating them "manually" has really been a pain in the ass. I've got about a third of the folders over, but I'd love to hear a better solution that will actually keep the folder structure in place correctly, not randomly. Perhaps there's an add-on for this? Cheers.

My company recently switched from a standard POP mail server to having GMail as our MX server and hosting all our business accounts. Overall the benefits are quite positive, but I'm having some usage issues that bug me. Can you help me use gmail better? Specific questions inside.

I want to run a mail server on my computer so that I can feed email from different POP accounts into an IMAP account. The weird part is I don't care to access by IMAP over the web, but I do want to POP it into GMail. Confused? Me too.

Where is all my email? I just installed Windows XP Pro, Firefox, and Thunderbird on a brand-new hard drive. I then copied the entire contents of the C:\Documents and Settings\Username (including hidden files) from the old hard drive onto the new one. Hallelujah, all my cookies, bookmarks, and extensions in Firefox work like a charm. Thunderbird, however ....

I need a way to transfer a ton of old email from an old IMAP account to a new one. Dragging and dropping in both Thunderbird and Apple Mail keeps messing up. Can anyone suggest a tool that's designed for this purpose, or a more efficient method?
