I'm unable to open my Thunderbird e-mail program. After I upgraded it, it wouldn't open when I clicked on any of the appropriate icons or its listing in program files. I then did a system restore to before attempting the upgrade, hoping at least to be able to use my older version. Still no luck, not even in safe mode and not even after rebooting several times. A further complication is that I can't even bring up the Thunderbird profile by typing "thunderbird.exe -ProfileManager" in Run. I'm using XP Home. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

In Thunderbird, I can make a smart mailbox that shows only messages I haven't replied to, but I can't change the size of the text in the message lists. In Apple Mail, I can change the list size but can't figure out how to make a smart mailbox that only shows unreplied messages. I think I'd be better at answering mail if I could solve either of these problems. Help?

Thunderbird filter: I use two different mail servers depending on my isp (work or home). Both have different outgoing smtp servers. While Thunderbird let's me specify multiple smtp servers (with one as the default), it always throws up an error when I am with the other ISP. [more inside]
