For some reason, I’ve been thinking lately about the Monty Python sketch “Dennis Moore”, which contains repeated snippets of a song about the main character. (The first instance begins at about 2:40.) I’m looking for similar shows, but played straight instead of as comedy. [more inside]
My father and I watched a documentary on TV in the 90s (likely TVO in Canada, possibly a National Geographic production?). It was about a boy named Ali who lived in the jungle with his father. It showed their daily life, how they hunted for food, etc. One scene I clearly remember is the father teaching the son how to create poison darts using toads. I believe the title was "Ali's Jungle", but I can't find any references to it on the internet. My dad and I really enjoyed the theme song, which was hummed by the father as he played a thumb piano. Here is a recording my father made at the time: Theme Song Any help identifying this show would be appreciated!

I have fond childhood memories of the theme song from a 1980s nature show, but have been unable to find it anywhere on the internet. The main melody was played by a sort of synthesized oboe, with an odd synthesized rhythm of pops and clicks in the background, and the accompanying visuals were trippy, red-and-orange footage of various animals. I've recreated (badly) the main melody from the title sequence here. Can anyone tell me what show this is from, and point me to a recording of the original tune? Thanks!
For Halloween, I want to dress up as the opening credits sequence to some TV show. But which show? [more inside]
the end of the Bob the Builder theme song has that heavy guitar riff "wind down" which reminds me of some tv show theme (like the drew cary show or WKRP) where some guy shouts: "I love you NEW YORK -or maybe detroit--what is that show?
I'm looking for the midi version of "I'm no superman" aka, the Scrubs theme song. My searching has proved unsuccessful. Any ideas where I can find it? [more inside]

What's the music used as the theme for Law and Order on five in the UK? It's also used in a trailer for one of the Matrix sequels - here [WMV], music from 1:41 — 2:14.
Fox's House MD features a theme tune by Massive Attack in the US, but in Europe it has a different theme called "House" due to licensing problems. What other programs have had to do this, and what does a "licensing problem" mean, exactly?
My husband and I have both been googling for hours, with no luck. I finally gave in and came here to query all of you. Was Chuck Mangione's song "Feel So Good" ever used as the theme song or lead-in to a television show? (MI) [more inside]
