My father and I watched a documentary on TV in the 90s (likely TVO in Canada, possibly a National Geographic production?). It was about a boy named Ali who lived in the jungle with his father. It showed their daily life, how they hunted for food, etc. One scene I clearly remember is the father teaching the son how to create poison darts using toads.
I believe the title was "Ali's Jungle", but I can't find any references to it on the internet. My dad and I really enjoyed the theme song, which was hummed by the father as he played a thumb piano. Here is a recording my father made at the time:
Theme Song
Any help identifying this show would be appreciated!

I'm currently shopping for pay themes for a Wordpress blog. A lot of theme websites have previews for their themes, but are rather limited in their implementation. Are there good review/forum sites for themes that aren't SEO backwash, or is there an effective search method to find sites that use a particular theme?

The new
Upstairs, Downstairs series on BBC uses a particular piece of theme music composed by Carl Davis. The theme sounds like it's based on a traditional English folk ballad, like something Vaughan Williams might have rearranged. Of course, it could be an original composition, but if it's based on an existing work I would love to know.
Here is a snatch (MP3 format) from a scene in season 2 episode 4.

The "Pink Panther" theme and the "Peter Gunn" theme are both jazz pieces created by Henry Mancini in the 1960's. But musically, how are they similar? If I add Lalo Schifrin's "Mission Impossible" theme ... is this a particular flavor or genre of jazz? If I like these as music, what other pieces (that are not necessarily theme songs) would I like?

Silly question, surely it's easily answerable but I'm on a computer with no sound and have too much work to do to spend much time looking, so I turn to AskMe in hopes of settling an office disagreement before the workday is over.
The classic musical phrase which describes "mystery," "detective," etc. I think it's from a TV show. Tip of my tongue, but I'm drawing a complete blank.
It goes, "Duuuuum da-dum dum / Duuuuum da-dum dum dummmmmm...."
Notes are: 1, flat-2, flat-3, 1 / 1, flat-2, flat-3, 1,
X.
Boss says
X is a perfect fifth. I say it's a flat-5 Who is correct? And what the heck is it from? Thanks AskMe.

I have someone who wants a very specific look for a site but is on a budget, and before I get the design sliced and coded, I thought I'd check to see if anyone has seen a template that matches. We need to be able to pick all colors (background, sheet, etc), the sheet needs to have a shadow around it, and the sheet also needs to have deckle edges. The rest of the layout is pretty standard. Paid template is fine. Or, does anyone have recommendations for forums for theme recommendations?

How do you change the appearance of the in-window chrome on gnome-terminal? Specifically, when you have multiple tabs open, there are a few extra pixels around the edge that I'd like to do away with. Is this thing configurable? Is there a different xterm app I could use on Easy Peasy 1.6 (based on Ubuntu Lucid) that has less chrome but still offers tabs?

I need a theme for a new Wordpress site I'm making about hot springs in Japan. I have a large Bento database of over 200 location with reviews, pictures, addresses, types of baths, and so on... I've found a way to automatically turn the CSV file that Bento makes into the pages I want... I just need a template to put those pages into. Something simple and more geared to hosting static pages rather than a blog. I've spent hours searching through all of these theme websites only to get confused in the 1,000s of choices. So I'm asking you, the MiFi community, to choose for me. Thanks!

I have fond childhood memories of the theme song from a 1980s nature show, but have been unable to find it anywhere on the internet. The main melody was played by a sort of synthesized oboe, with an odd synthesized rhythm of pops and clicks in the background, and the accompanying visuals were trippy, red-and-orange footage of various animals. I've recreated (badly) the main melody from the title sequence
here. Can anyone tell me what show this is from, and point me to a recording of the original tune? Thanks!

Asking for a friend:
I saw a movie once, but I can remember neither the name nor the theme. At a guess I would say it was five to six years ago, but it was not in theater and so could have been a bit older. Toward the end of the movie, perhaps just before the credits and on into the credits, there was a song about a birthday. I don't remember if it was a character's birthday, but I believe it was. It was a sort of weird, sad, but upbeat tune. Possibly containing drug references. Not rap, more of an anti-folk feel (think Moldy Peaches) and a female singer. It was not Kimya Dawson's "Jest's Birthday". Wikipedia's list of non-canonical birthday songs does not produce anything familiar.
Find for me this song, Internet.
