Is there such a thing as a PG-13 version of Rocky Horror?

Your stage experience has mostly been variations on the Vagina Monologues, political spoken word, or absurdly sexual burlesque. You secretly want to be Joan Jett. You're auditioning for something that asks for a monologue or song that is PG-13 at the most - what do you pick? [more inside]

You and me could write a Stage Romance... (Except that's a BAD IDEA!)

I have a crush on my stage partner. I know how bad an idea this is, but how do I keep it under control when I'm draped lovingly over him for half the show? Help me do my job without the temptation to, ahem, take work home with me? [more inside]

Speak the speech, I pray you

Hit me with your favorite monologues for women, 25-35, 3 mins or less. Dramatic, comedic, film, tv, theatre... don't care. I want exceptional, chewy material for a monologue slam.

How to make a move on someone I've been waiting to approach?

How do I approach a castmate I've developed feelings for? We've been working on a show together for about a month, and I've developed an attraction to him. I immediately determined I should wait until the show closed to make any obvious moves, but I'm not sure how to do it. [more inside]

What Brechtian playwright cast children in his plays?

I'm having trouble remembering a playwright I read about long ago. IIRC, this playwright is considered an heir to the Brechtian tradition, and he accordingly hated using professional actors with practiced mannerisms. In order to achieve verfremdungseffekt when directing, he would sometimes cast high schoolers with no previous acting expreience. I think it might be Edward Bond, but I'm not sure. Any ideas? I'm pretty sure that he's British.
