How do you keep track of your texts? I get texts that ask to set up drinks with a friend (or a playdate for my child), or asking how things are, or sending me a link to something silly to check out. If I can't answer then, inevitably a new text from someone else will come in later and I lose track of the unanswered one(s). This is an iPhone, by the way.

I have an Android phone - T-mobile's MyTouch 3G Slide, to be more precise. How can I make it so when one particular contact text messages me, I don't get a sound or a vibration? I'm happy to download an app to make this happen, if there's not a native way.

I'll shortly be teaching a unit of work to senior high school students titled "Navigating the Global". I'm after short stories, preferably available for free online, that deal with the themes of global vs local culture.

I text a lot, but don't feel like paying the exorbitant prices for text packages here in American. I have plenty of 3G bandwidth, and wondered if there was a free/cheaper alternative than paying $10 a month for 1000 texts. I only need to text in the US and have a google voice account, but need a way to send and receive texts to my Android Phone.

I want to create a site which displays a very long text, and allows people to comment on any part of it and discuss it. What would be a good program to use? (Wordpress? Joomla? phpBB forums?) How would I be able to import hundreds of pages of text? How would I let people comment on any part of the text?
Thank You.

I will soon be teaching a course on ancient Roman domestic spaces, and I am looking for
primary source material to supplement readings in scholarship. Any suggestions of Roman texts (poetry, fiction, history, law, biography) that describe a Roman domestic space (domus, villa, insula, palace) would be much appreciated. Textual exempla of Roman domestic practices are also welcome (e.g., the account of Trimalchio's banquet in Petronius'
Satyricon).

Adobe Indesign: I'm hoping to design a vocal recital program in Adobe Indesign. By that I mean a booklet given out before a classical music performance with song texts, translations, and notes. Can anyone find any example indesign files for me to learn off of?

The Koran. I read it long ago. I found it confusing, odd, hard to understand, in dire need of unpacking. I'd like to try reading it again. Can anyone recommend a superlative translation, or perhaps even better, a great paraphrase. Or at the very least one with decent annotations. I'm not averse to a version that does intelligent re-arranging of the sequence, as I recall chapters on cows following stuff on love. There are a number of current translations so pointers to informed reviews of them would be welcomed too.
