I like typing in landscape but browsing in portrait. Unlocking the orientation means it turns sideways whenever I lie down. I'd really like a landscape-only text editor. Plain as you like. Markdown and Dropbox support a bonus! I have a 6 Plus, iOS 9.
I have a bunch of text messages that I need to use to substantiate certain statements. I would like to export many messages from my phone, for two reasons... [more inside]
My 9-year-old daughter has an old wifi-only iPhone. Her 9-year-old friend has an old wifi-only android phone (i.e., neither is on a contract). They want to be able to message each other for free. What's the best option? [more inside]
Last night I sent a photo of my cat to a friend. When I sent the photo, another text, not written by me, popped up and was sent along with the photo. How did this happen? [more inside]
I want to create multi-page content consisting of text + spoken-word-audio, viewable on iPhone. Content consumption would work as follows: 1. Page displays text and plays audio (additional tap to launch audio would be okay) 2. User taps something to call up next page. My first thought was Powerpoint, but I haven't found an iPhone app that handles audio embedded in PPT. I'm limited to working on my Windows PC, so I think Keynote is out. Any thoughts on a format to use for the content, and app to use to consume it? [more inside]
I have an iphone 4S. I imessage with my husband and son a lot, they using an iPhone 3 and an iPad and iMac. If I send a message with an emoji in it, the emoji shows on my phone screen as the graphic/picture, and shows on their screen as the graphic/picture. If they send me a message with an emoji it shows on their screen as a graphic/picture, but shows on my screen as letters/symbols (e.g. :) <3 etc.) I know it is a bit silly, but this is driving my crazy. And my nearly 10 year old likes using emoji so I would rather figure it out than just say 'don't send me the damn things'.
My new Android phone won't receive txts from iPHones. this is a known issue in iMessage from Apple. I have done ALL the known fixes that have been suggested. I have read 10 articles and Already done all suggested fixes: I shut off iMessage, deregistered from Apple, asked people to delete me from contacts and delete all txt threads.
Text messaging consistently does not work on my phone (iPhone 4s, AT&T). 2 failure modes: 1) The blue "Sending" bar does not go all the way to complete in iMessage 2) I'll send a text successfully, and the other person will text me back right away, but I won't receive their reply. When I do get their reply, however, it'll say the correct timestamp (from when they sent it, which is often hours earlier.) This always happens with some people and never with others. It happens to both iMessage and regular texts. I'm wondering whether to take it to the Apple store, the AT&T store, to do a factory reset, or to fiddle with some other settings. Has anyone else encountered this and been able to fix it?

So I'm looking for a tool that will allow me to create text bubbles that look like they came from an iPhone. However, I don't want something like Fake iPhone Text, as that creates a picture of the entire phone background plus the text bubbles. I only want the text bubbles, disembodied. Does this exist?
