I'm looking for datasets (or ideas for possible datasets), preferably live feeds of data, with which to stress test some analysis algorithms I've written.

BAR-Filter: So I just graduated from Fancy East Coast Law School and have started taking Barbri in preparation for the NY Bar at the end of July. The course started on the 26th, but so far I (like everyone else I know) haven't really studied yet. Should I be worried? Any helpful study tips?
Bonus question: a friend of mine is applying to law school and wanted advice on an LSAT course. I think she probably doesn't need it (high SAT scores, etc.) but her mom's willing to pay. Course recommendations?

I am trying to break into the Linux Server Administration field so I have been doing quite a bit of studying lately. I figured while I am studying the subject I might as well work towards a related certification. I am
leaning towards the
Linux Professional Institute Certification. Other certifications I am considering are
CompTIA’s Linux+ and
Red Hat’s RHCE. So which Linux certification is the best? I would say Red Hat is the most reputable of these three but I am concerned that their certification might be too Red-Hat-centric, and I don't want to be locked into one distro. Which one is the
easiest/cheapest to obtain? Which is the mostly
highly regarded in the industry? Are there others that I missed?

Is this a joke? Officials from the College Board, the nonprofit entity that administers the Scholastic Aptitude Test or SAT, have announced that they are producing a new version of the test for students who live in school districts where creationism rather than evolution is taught in science classes.

A friend of mine had some trouble with US Customs after traveling through Europe. As it turns out,
Lush soap may violate US drug laws. Customs evidently took her soap, tested it and showed it contained trace amounts of THC. She was detained for five hours, threatened with imprisonment and fined $500. So my question is thus: Is Lush in anyway liable if they are putting marijuana in their products without proper labeling? Is there anyway to appeal or contest the US Customs fine? Has anyone had a similar experience?

I'm going to be taking a proofreading test on Thursday, for a job. Does anyone have any advice about this? I've never had a proofreading job before, but my own writing is usually very typo-free, and I notice spelling and grammatical errors in books all the time.

Can someone please point me to an old Metafilter FPP? It was about an annual test or exam given at a university (I believe in the UK) that was supposed to be extremely difficult. It was a general knowledge quiz, and 10 out of 10 is impossible, according to the professor who administers it. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
