We sold our house and have to be out soon but we haven't found a house in our new city (US university town) yet. Since the time is short, we need a back-up plan for a place to stay until we can buy and move into our new house but it's complicated by the fact that we have 3 cats. Most places, including hotels don't want cats. I am hoping you give me some "out of the box" ideas so we aren't living in our car with our cats.

Where is the cheapest long term parking around the San Francisco Intl Airport? [more inside]
For a while now, maybe several months or so (this only proves further how terrible my memory is) I have been experiencing long term memory loss. I have great trouble remembering my childhood, places I've been to, anything at all that i learned in school a year or two ago. I always forget what I say to people even a few weeks ago. They will talk about something I said or something I did and I won't remember. When I go to bed, the hours just before become unknown to me. When I try to remember what happened in the last hours of the night it is all foggy and fragmented. This is not something I normally experience, especially all the things I've done with family and friends, I can barely remember anything and it makes me very sad. [more inside]
My wife and I are going to Paris for a few weeks. Yay! Unfortunately I'll be in and out of conferences for the first 5 days while she is out sightseeing. My schedule will probably be pretty unpredictable, so we'd like to have an easy way to keep in touch, but cell phone rentals seem pretty expensive, especially since we'll only need it for a few days. We don't even really need voice - texting would work. Any ideas for cheap, short-term communications in Paris?

"Graphic novel" isn't merely a more sophisticated synonym for "comic book." The "H" in the Montreal Canadiens logo doesn't stand for "Habitants" (it's just "hockey"). What are other examples of wrong "insider" info commonly cited by poseur-types? Stuff that only true experts/fans would be quick to refute, and probably snicker at? [more inside]
Is there a word for a "collection of possible future events that are all somehow related?" I want something that captures the idea of a "collection of scenarios." Or, pick an forecasted event, fear, or desire: What is "the spectrum of possible outcomes" relevant to this thing that has my attention, plausible or otherwise, expected or unexpected, the good, the bad, and the ugly? Probability cloud? Scenario collection? [more inside]

What is this sickness called? When I get tired and fatigue accumulates over time, I get sick. I have been stressed out a little bit and haven't been sleeping enough for a past week, so I'm sick as I'm posting this... I get a headache, my all body aches, especially lower back and pelvic area, but from head to toe. If it's severe, I would get a diarrhea or throw up. Even if it's warm, I get a chill and sometimes cold sweat. My face feels hot but in fact I don't have a fever. This lasts for about a day, and next day when I wake up I'm okay except I feel a little shaky. I've had this for about 6 times. I just don't know what this is called. [more inside]

I should be able to let things like this go, I know, but a Facebook friend wrote a status update containing a phrase I've never heard, and not knowing what she meant is driving me nuts. I'm 44 and the opposite of "street." She's in her 20s -- a hip New Yorker. This sort of thing happens to me all the time, but usually googling or Urban Dictionary helps me. Not this time. So, is this a real phrase or is it some quirky thing she made up: "What's your evil?" [more inside]
I've been with my boyfriend for three years (living together for half that amount of time). This is my first long-term relationship. Previously, my relationships lasted anywhere from 3-6 months.
