What TV show am I thinking of, and what is the context? Towards the end of the season, a person who just committed a serious crime (I think either a shooting or a murder) is released from custody after a mysterious old woman (a mother? aunt?) comes to town and posts bail. My Google-fu is failing me. I think it's Justified, but I can't find any confirmation and I can't place the character who was released or the context.
What was this trippy, cowboy-themed weekend morning TV show I used to watch in Brooklyn in the early 1990s? [more inside]
I know everybody asks this (and I've read through the previous questions looking for recommendations), but what should I watch next? Preferably on Netflix or Hulu Plus (not web only). In general, I tend to like: mysteries/crime procedurals/law dramas, especially with a quirky twist, and also shows involving a quirky band of misfits (or individual) working outside the law to bring justice to the little people while finding out who done them wrong (e.g. the A-Team, Burn Notice, The Pretender, etc.) I also like heist shows and sci-fi. And occasionally anime. [more inside]

I recently bought a new TV, replacing one from the early 90s. And I went a bit crazy plugging in ALL the things. The trouble is... there's still nothing on! Is there some kind of master TV / movie / media guide I can use to tell me what device or service(s) offer what I want to watch? [more inside]

Where can I find intelligent writing or discussion about movies and t.v. shows? [more inside]
I have the vaguest of memories of a TV movie I may have seen around the mid-80s, possibly on public television. Could have been British, or at least set in the UK. It was somewhat creepy, at least it was to young me at the time. It was about a family wherein one of the boys had magic powers. My only real memory is a shot of this boy putting his hands into a kitchen counter as if the kitchen counter were soft clay or a portal to another dimension, drawing some material out of it, and making a little sculpture of an animal (lion?) Young me found that special effect surprisingly unnerving. I thought it might be a WonderWorks production but none of the titles seem to match. Ring any bells for anyone?

I want to watch Swedish television via the web, but much of the content is blocked geographically and available within Sweden only. I prefer free, but I'm willing to pay a nominal monthly/yearly amount. I did locate this company during my Google search - I don't know if this service is overkill for my needs. Is it safe to use a foreign proxy and would it be wise to install the proxy on a separate router? I have no idea how any of this works.

I would like to buy a home entertainment system. I would like to listen to music, watch television, movies, and play videogames. I would like to have Netflix. I would like to stream media from my network or the cloud. I want great sound but I am not an audiophile, although I am not averse to spending a lot on speakers. I do not want to spend more than 8 hours doing research. I will spend up to $2500-$3000. How do I attack this problem? Can you recommend specific TV's, receivers, speakers, or stuff like a Roku box? Can you recommend sites that provide easy to understand, objective reviews of equipment like TelevisionInfo? I do not want to hit the forums if I don't have to. Can you recommend specific configurations of equipment or point me to sites that supply this information. I feel like if I don't get pointed in the right direction, I am going to over analyze this and spend far too much time that I don't have. I just want a rocking home entertainment solution for my family that I won't want to upgrade a week later.
