I'm trying to track down a television ad for instant soup that aired in Latin America in the 1990s. A young woman arrives home, prepares the advertiser's instant soup, and sits down to eat in front of a computer. On the screen, a man is waiting to welcome her to dinner, which was science fiction when the commercial aired. [more inside]
What are some TV commercials of the past couple of years that showcase some of the cheesy tropes of American television advertising? [more inside]

Have businesses suffered since DVRs became popular and everyone stopped watching commercials?
Who is the actor in this Microsoft Windows 7 "To the Cloud" Windows 7 tv commercial?
I'm trying to find a TV commercial for Paxil that aired probably during the late '90s, but maybe during the early 2000s. [more inside]
Why do commercials usually show the product killing MOST, but not ALL, of the things it's supposed to kill? [more inside]
I am trying to locate/remember a commercial that is currently airing nationally for a tech product or service. I have seen it around 5 times but I don't want to wait for it to serendipitously pop up again. Help me remember the product that goes a long with the commercial I describe below. (I'm not interested in purchasing the product or anything, I only want to examine the ad.) [more inside]
How does Gourmet: Diary of a Foodie get funded? Is it just like a non-commercial commercial for Gourmet magazine and its advertisers and then given away to public radio stations?
Can anyone help me ID a series of savings and loan commercials that aired during the 1970s? They featured a gaunt-looking fellow holding a chicken; the actor also appeared in Blazing Saddles as a naked guy covered in soap. I saw the spots growing up in Southern California so they may have been regional. I just can't remember the name of the S&L. Thanks in advance!
Early-to-Mid 90's commercial: girl in bar slips guy a piece of paper not with her phone number, but with her email address. [more inside]
Searching for info or video of a 1960s-1970s animated US-televised public service announcement against 'hate.' Angry man approaches viewer, head swells and three-pronged arrows whirl in his heart. Head swells and turns red and bursts as narrator says '[when you] hate, you only hurt yourself.' Possibly American Heart Association? Will donate $10 to charity chosen by first person to point me to correct online video. Many thanks.
Does anybody know where I can get at a timeslot database for television commercials? (Preferably free or cheap). I'm not interested in viewing the commercials; I'm more interested in constructing bipartite co-occurrence networks between television programs. For example, I want to analyze what commercials are paired up with what other commercials (in that they air for the same shows), how many commercials share a given pair of programs, etc. -- and then making some inferences from the network. Script format for :30 commercials?I've been asked by a local company to write scripts based upon concepts I've given them for :30 commercial spots to air on local cable. I know it's not a big deal, but since I'm anal about proper format in general, I was wondering what the proper formatting is for this kind of script. Plus I'm simply curious. [more inside]
Taco Bell has been running a commercial this past weekend during many of the bowl games with Carmen Electra in it. Can anyone tell me who the female actor was that was sitting in the room with the two guys talking about how unlikely it was that one of the guys had broken up with Carmen Electra? [more inside]
Who plays the Cingular guy in the Alltel food court commercial, and why have I seen him in so many commercials recently?
I love some of the commercials for PBS. There is one playing currently that is constructed around the story of Little Red Riding Hood's wolf. Philip Glass' music from The Hours is throughout, a father is reading the story to his daughter, then gets interrupted by Lara Spencer, Charlie Rose ("In my interview with the wolf, he said he does his own stunts to add more realism to the story"), Jim Lehrer, Bernadette Peters and a couple others who I don't know, who all have comments about the wolf. Is this commercial available online? Does anyone know who made this?
