I am currently living with my parents in NH.I just moved here from NJ. My job will be in MA. I just bought a car in NH and will be registering it here tomorrow. I plan to eventually (less than 6 months in the future, this question might come up) rent a place near Boston in order to be closer to work on days I might have to work late and to be able to socialize and party in a more urban area without driving sometimes on weekends or weekdays.
It seems that if I make this future dwelling my primary residence, in MA, I will have to pay a bunch of money on car sales tax and registration conversion.
I will be spending a few days (3 maybe) a week at my parents place anyway. Is there any legal way to keep this address in NH as my primary residence, while being able to also rent a place in Somerville or Cambridge and park there?

I'd been wanting to form a corporaton for a long time. So many benefits it seems:
track business expenses for income-tax deductions
protect assets against law-suits
gain credibility for certain transactions
privacy
But all the gory details are getting me down...

I did our taxes through TurboTax. I thought they transmitted correctly. They didn't. I just realized this. So are we going to jail for tax evasion?

How do I file an out of state sale that I made online. I know that I do not charge tax to out of state customers but is there a exemption form that I need to fill out or somewhere I can get more information on this process. I run a company in Connecticut and we have been making more and more out of state sales and I need to figure out how to go about the exemption process. Thank you for your help.

John Doe has a check for about $450 from the Minnesota Dept of Revenue that is a state tax refund for 2004. The check is made payable to John Doe AND Jane Doe, with Jane Doe being John's ex-wife. John and Jane Doe no longer have a joint checking account nor are they on friendly speaking terms.

I live in New York and recently started a new job in New Jersey. On my first pay stub, I noticed that I'm paying a state income tax for both NY and NJ (and the tax for new jersey is actually $30 more than the NY tax). How can I be forced to pay income tax to two different states when I only live in one? This seems unjust.
