Are there any good criteria for identifying when you are being taken advantage of? I love to help people, but sometimes I think that I may help people too much. This tension makes me uncomfortable. [more inside]

How appropriate is it to consider someone your mentor, when you're hoping he'll grant you with something major in the future? Is this taking advantage of him and the mentorship? Or am I just being paranoid? [more inside]
