I'm thinking about taking a suit holiday. As in, going to a country where not only can I have a fun vacation, but I can get a bunch of suits made for a good price. Where should I go? [more inside]

Men's suit-filter: Went to the tailor to get a couple of my suit jackets looked at. They told me that it wasn't that the shoulder was too tight (which I'd thought was the problem), but it was that the there wasn't enough room in the sleeve, in the area around my triceps. And upon opening up the inside of the sleeve, the tailor pronounced that there wasn't enough fabric to make the sleeve significantly bigger. Is there any way around this? Thanks MeFites!

So I just bought this suit from MACY's. I already have a tie and pocket square in mind to match, and I want to meet with someone who can take my measurements and make the suite bring out my best features. I'd also like to have them suggest the size French cuff shirt I should wear as well. [more inside]

I want to own a suit that looks like it was made for me. As I see it, there are two ways to do this, one involving buying a good suit that's pretty close in all the important ways and then multiple trips to a good tailor to have it altered to fit, the other involving a made-just-for-me suit. How do I decide which, or is there another path I'm missing? Once that decision's out of the way, how do I find a tailor I trust to walk me through one process or the other? [more inside]

Weddings and formal affairs oh boy! This next year will be chock full and since my regular job attire does not include a suit I am clueless when it comes to what is necessary and/or nice to have. I do not need anything different or special, but well-fitted is a must. What type of suits are best all year round, easy to alter (by a tailor, not myself), and just look good?
