Half-naked lady hippo t-shirt

Where can I find a t-shirt of a half-naked lady atop a hippo? So imagine you're in a clothing store on Bergmannstraße in Kreuzberg. You find a wonderfully designed t-shirt with a picture of a semi-nude woman perched on top of a hippopotamus. Trouble is the only size left is XL and you're barely pushing M. You forget to take note of the designer.

Skip forward a few weeks and you're back on your home continent, now realising some of the other clothes bought are made by international companies, aren't exclusive to Berlin, and have online stores. The hippo shirt is probably no different.

Now imagine you're an AskMeFi user, reading a post by someone who wants to find this shirt, or at least the company that made it. How can you help?

Yellow Shirt with Cubes

Where can I find this t-shirt? It's yellow with 24 paired cubes colored with green, red, & yellow faces, each face subdivided into cells of 8. I saw someone on the street wearing this shirt and thought it was neat. Then I spotted it last night on a pretty bad sitcom (thanks to a promo during Sunday football) so I took a picture to see if I could locate it. Tineye was no help with a screen grab, and I can't find the right google terms.

How to bypass Cafepress?

I want to make my own t-shirts. How can I do my own personal version of Cafepress, Zazzle, etc.? Not Cafepress in the sense that I would set up a site and take orders, but Cafepress in that I want to actually print 1-off Photoshopped images onto a shirt. I don't want to do iron-ons, screenprinting or draw anything. Is this possible without spending several thousand dollars on a Fiery or whatever? I would settle for B&W printing if there was no color option. I haven't been able to come up with much from my searches, generally it's just a bunch of Cafepress wanna-be sites.

Damn you, clever homophones!

Help me find a t-shirt I've only heard described ambiguously! Okay, so the girlfriend's birthday is coming up. Some months ago she mentioned a favorite t-shirt that was ruined in the wash, and I'd like to replace it as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, I never saw the shirt, and I can't go and ask her for details without ruining the surprise. What makes this shirt particularly difficult to find, I think, is that all I know about it is that it says "I carrot vegetables." Maybe. It could also be "I ^ vegetables" (caret), which would be sort of witty, I guess. Or maybe it's "I <3 vegetables," where the heart is replaced with a carrot-looking-hearty thing. I just don't know.

Any help in finding a place to purchase it online would be groovy. I googled some without success. Thanks!

Were you a Jewish kid in the 70s/80s? Remember those t-shirts with the drawing of the sabra cactus wearing that funny Israeli hat? I'm trying to find that drawing. I think the cactus was some kind of mascot and had a name - or maybe it was just Sabra. It's not important, I just half remember it and would like seeing it again.

Seeking t-shirt with the silhouette of a naked man. You know that famous picture often seen on mud flaps, with the silhouette of a naked woman sitting with one leg outstretched and the other bent up? I saw a t-shirt with a silhouette just like that, except it was a man instead of a woman. Is there anywhere online I can get this shirt?

Help me design a t-shirt One of the brothers came up with a great shirt, which involved a parody of a well-recognized ad campaign and a nice catchphrase. The problem is, the ad campaign is for a beer company. The stigma of fraternities as centers of alcohol use and abuse -- no matter how well-earned -- is one we're trying to move away from, and I think that this shirt would hamper our efforts in that regard.

We're looking for something that has similar qualities -- it plays off of a recognizable ad campaign and has an element (a catchphrase) that sticks with you -- but obviously one that has nothing to do with alcohol. By no means do I want you to completely design the shirt for us, but rather just provide a jumping-off point that we can work from.

We are a chapter of Sigma Nu fraternity. Possible design elements include knights or snakes.

Note: I don't care what you think about fraternities. If you derail the discussion with your opinion without offering a suggestion, I will mark your comment for removal. Sorry, but I don't want to hear about it.

How much to charge for a t-shirt design?

I've been asked to design a t-shirt for a well-known band on a major label, but I don't know what the going rate is for the work. I saw this question, but I'm not fresh out of school, and that's a question about bulk work, which this will not be. I'm open to charging a flat-rate or my hourly, but am unclear which is appropriate in this situation. Assuming a flat-rate is appropriate...I know there are some variables involved, but here are the pertinent infos as I see it:

• the band is on a major label
• they seem to appeal to 14 - 20 year olds (people who actually buys band t-shirts)
• I saw at least 8 of their shirts for sale online through those generic online apparel stores, so it will probably enter the wild
• the shirt is for a tour where they'll probably sell a bunch every night (should I quote based on initial print run numbers? I'd rather not use a percentage of sales, because I don't think I'd get those numbers without much hassle)
• I anticipate, and really don't care about, losing rights to the design, but want to compensate for that loss appropriately

Anything I'm not considering?

Thanks for your help!

What ratio of t-shirt sizes should I buy? I.E.
Where have people seen this before?

An image that my friend has created has been seen before by other people. How has this happened? A friend who I run a record label with created this image a couple of years ago for a flyer. We have since expanded into making T-shirts as well as records and made up a few shirts with this image on. A couple of people have said that they have come across the image before. One person in the UK and another in France - they both said they had seen the image in Thailand. However my friend created the image from a health leaflet found in the UK.
Are they mistaken and have seen a similar image, or has my friend appropriated an image already available accidentally?
I don't know how to search for an image of two children looking at each others bits, without coming across dodgy stuff so thought I'd ask here.

Spanish obscene pun?

Is there an obscene pun on this Spanish-language t-shirt? (photo/nsfw language inside) When I first saw this t-shirt, I read it as "I have a hair on my tongue, but I don't know what pussy (/cunt/some other slang term for vagina) it's from." Later on, I found out that in Spanish, or at least peninsular Spanish, you can throw in "coño" to mean, more or less, "fuck" or"fucking." So, I presume, it's possible to read the t-shirt as "I have a hair on my tongue, but I don't what the fuck it's from."

My question: Is this ambiguity intentional? Is this a pun? Or do my mediocre Spanish skills transform it into a pun?

NOTE: I took this picture in the gift stores around Peñiscola, in the Autonomous Community of Valencia, in case that makes a dialectal difference.

Because of the nautical-ish cartoon and the doubled 'cc', I have a fantasy that it's got something to do with one of the old SSR's navies. Hopefully, one of the land-locked ones.
Desperately seeking nice, thin t-shirts/undershirts for women

Where can a woman buy nice t-shirts to wear under sweaters and other tops? I have some sweaters and knit tops that would benefit from my wearing a t-shirt underneath them. But all my t-shirts are cotton and not fitted enough or too bulky to wear underneath anything else. I take a nice, fitted v-neck sweater that would look more appealing and be more comfortable if I wore a shirt underneath, and it no longer fits if I wear it on top of anything I own. (Except tank tops -- I have an infinite supply of tank tops.) And I'm not talking about the big boxy men's t-shirts; I wear the babydoll style, pretty fitted t-shirts. But they're still not tight enough and the fabric is usually too thick.

So, where can I find nice, thin, fitted t-shirts/undershirts for women? Ideally this would be something I could also wear by itself in warm weather, but it's OK if I can't. (These might need to be skin-tight.) Ideally they would be available in multiple colors, but white is most important, followed by black, followed by a photo finish between gray and brown. I'm looking for short sleeves most of all; long sleeves would also be nice, as would sleeveless (like cap-sleeved without the cap).

I'm thinking silk? Or a good merino wool? Nothing lacy; it needs to fit feminine (and be nice enough to wear with nice clothing) but I don't wear hearts and flowers. Nothing sporty; this is for wearing with regular clothes, not for the gym. Recommendations for a store (preferably online)?

Where to buy a tuxedo t-shirt today in Seattle? Looking for that classic cheesy black t-shirt with the tuxedo in white on the front. I've tried Atlas and Redlight, but no luck. I'm not from here, so I don't really know where else to look. thanx!

This shirt is fast as lightning.

Help me find out more about my beloved "Kung-Fu Master" t-shirt, and, in the best of all possible worlds, replace it when it dies. It's about 6 years ago. I'm spending part of the summer in Southern Utah, land of red rocks and surprisingly good thrift shopping. In a dumpy little thrift shop, in the little boys' department (department of choice for small women with odd taste), I find the greatest t-shirt I have ever owned, which I proceeded to wear all through college and grad school.

Here it is. Clearly it has been well-loved. Navy blue shirt. Four images that appear to be from a kung-fu movie, each subtitled "The Kung Fu Master." The tag reads "A-Team, Size 10" The back of the tag reads "The Best Children Wear."

Clearly the shirt has been well-loved, and it's on its last legs. Here are the things I have been dying to know for upwards of 6 years:

1. Are these images from a real movie, if so, what movie?
2. How can I find another one? Googling "A-Team" as a clothing brand is nigh unto impossible.

If I could at least see the movie the images are from, that would help me accept the inevitable death of my shirt.

Where can I find the mashed-up t-shirt of my dreams?

How can I find an Alfred E. Newman/Misfits mashup t-shirt? I was changing trains at rush hour here in NYC last night, and I saw the briefest glimps of the most bad-ass t-shirt I've seen in YEARS. It was a black shirt with an image of Alfred E. Neuman on it in white ink: the catch is, his face was that of the Misfits logo -- derived from the Crimson Ghost.

The surging tide of New Yorkers swept us apart before I could offer him all the money in my wallet to trade shirts with me on the spot.

My question is: where can I find one of those shirts? Any and all leads are greatly appreciated.

Shredded Threads

Help me make this retro t-shirt. Okay. Here's what I want to make.

Remember back in the 80's there were T-shirts that had been sliced into thin horizontal strips up and down the front or back, and the "T-shirt noodles" were interwoven up and down, creating a revealing, hair-band, hot-rod, bartles and jaymes sort of loose crocheted look? These shirts often also featured fringe cuts on the sleeves or the hem, with pony beads strung on them.

What do you call these and where can I get instructions on how to make them, or good pictures of them at least?

T-shirts and ties: universal no-no?

Has anyone ever worn a tie on top of a t-shirts as a fashion statement? Yes I do really mean a t-shirt. Like a nice, designer-y fitted tee. But with no collar, and with a tie worn on top of it. I've been wondering if this has ever been in fashion or at least been some kind of fashion statement by someone or a small group of people. Or is it so hokey that everyone unilaterally agrees it should never be done?

I can't find any examples of it, so maybe I just made it up, but I could have sworn I've seen it before on an alternative rock band, or maybe in a European or Japanese fashion magazine or something. I just don't know. Any help? Pics or it didn't happen!
