I'm looking for a script or a little piece of software (free please) for Windows that watches a directory on my PC and uploads its contents to a directory on a remote server (or preferably syncs it with this directory, but I don't know if that's possible).

Ok, my google-fu has failed me. I'm trying to find a simple software program that will allow me to take an AVI file (or multiple AVI files - TV shows, mostly) and burn them to a DVD-R while still having the audio sync up properly. I've tried a couple of programs, and for some reason, the audio ends up being out of sync toward the end, although it's just fine at the beginning.

Is there any FTP software that will compare the files on the server to the ones stored locally, and only download new or updated / changed files? (I'd prefer a program that does this as opposed to some sort of script or other hackery)

Is there any way to successfully sync Entourage v.X with a Palm Zire 72? Microsoft's conduit doesn't support the "new" Palm apps and QueueSync produces wildly varying (and incorrect) results. [mi]

Why are computer clocks so BAD? I know about time sync programs, but why should I need one? Why can I get a watch in a Happy Meal that's only off by a second a year, but the clock in my fancy Pentium IV desktop loses a minute a week?

imacs and palm pilots and windows systems - do they play nicely together? i'm trying to help a friend figure out if his soon-to-arrive imac (his first mac since 85) will be able to sync with the calendar and contact software on a palm pilot. he currrently uses ACT at work (WIN), but is willing to change that to a different calendar/contact solution that will allow him to sync the palm pilot at home too, (and add info at home). any advice on simple solutions or best practices?

I have a Palm Zire that I sync with my iBook. Calendar and To Dos sync with iCal and Address Books sync well, but I have to view my memos in the big bloated Palm Desktop. Is there an app for Mac to sync with Memos? Version Tracker has
this but I have always disliked Stickies, and would prefer a nice little app with a list of my memos all in one place if such a thing exists. Suggestions?

I have a Palm V running OS 3.3. It works fine except for one annoying problem that I cannot for the life of me solve or find out anything about: the HotSync cradle button
always invokes HotSync by Infrared, no matter what the setting. Has anyone heard of this before, and if so, is there any fixing it? [mi]

The Poor Man's Laptop: As I've parted ways with my previous employer, I've had to relinquish my beautiful, 15 inch aluminum PowerBook. I can't afford a new machine, but have a need for some basic word processing and note taking capabilities. So I've picked up a Palm Tungsten E and a wireless keyboard. It works great, but I could use some recommendations for useful software. My main computer is a desktop G4 running OS X 10.3.5. [MI]

I want to sync my Palm Tungsten C with Mozilla Calendar (running on Windows XP). I know there's no conduit for Mozilla Calendar, but since it stores stuff in ical format I figure there must be *some* way to do this. Any ideas? Alternately, can anyone recommend a good Windows PIM that can sync with my Palm AND publish an ical?

Cell phone question. Got an LG from Verizon -- but I suck at typing on phones, and the thought of entering the umpteen dozens of contacts I have has scared me from entering all but a few.
When I was on T-Mobile, you could add contacts online. Is there any quick and easy way for me to do something like this? I just want to type them, since it would take me six and a half years to enter them manually.
