Any one know if you can limit MS's Foldershare app to only sync certain filetypes (say .mp3 only). I am trying to sync my music collection between 2 PC's but I've hit the 10000 file limit. These folders include the .jpg album covers that media player downloads when updating an album. I would rather sync just the .mp3 files and have each PC download the album art so I can stay under the 10000 file limit. Thanks.

I am having a weird problem with Foldershare. I was able to set everything up so that I can share a folder between my desktop and laptop (both are connected to the internet via an AirPort Extreme Base Station), but now when I sync it only goes one way -- from my desktop (iMac running OS X 10.4) to my laptop (running XP). Anything I fix on the mac shows up instantly on the laptop, but everything I fix on the laptop, or ghost p2p files I double click on the Mac, get caught in the queue and the status switches wildly between "queued" "all matches currently busy" "idle" and "listening" in the activity window on the mac and they are not visible on the xp laptop activity window. Also, all ports are reporting as blocked, despite my turning off the Mac firewall.
I tried Foldershare support and they gave me the standard settings FS should operate with and told me to contact the manufacturer of the router. Applecare said the Airport doesn't block any ports.
Any ideas? I googled and couldn't find anyone that was having this issue... Thanks in advance.

I keep up with alot of rss feeds. I read them at work on my breaks, and then at home before bed and in the morning before work. I would like a reader that will synchronize between the two locations so that I know where I left off at work, or at home. I allways forget my USB memory stick, so having a portable app doesn't work well for me. I haven't found a web based RSS reader that was fast enough, and designed the way I like it, I like to have my feeds grouped into folders, and read them one at a time by clicking on the item and reading the article.

I am looking for any online task list/calendar that meets the following criteria: 1)sync with Palm/using WinXP; 2)supports categories; 3)supports recurrence; 4)(preferably) has some way to be integrated into my Wordpress website. (Robust goal management would be a plus). I have tried Yahoo, but it does not support recurrent tasks and I find the auto-add of Y! Messenger contacts to be intrusive and annoying.

It's been months now and I still can't find a synchronization solution for Google Calendar / iCal (or palm desktop) / Palm Pilot. The very fact that it's taken so long is making me suspect that there's some technical issue that makes it actually not possible. Is this correct? Is there a solution out there to sync (push data both ways) my google calendar with my palm pilot?

Are there any web based calendars/task management programs that will sync with Outlook or straight to my Pocket PC? I got Sunbird syncing but after using it a while I switched back to Outlook, but I really like the idea of using something like Google Calendar, Backpack or iCommit when I'm at work or at school. I’ve thought about an exchange server account somewhere, but all the places I looked seemed to be pretty pricy for a student budget. Any suggestions?

How to Sync Palm Treo with Outlook 2007
I took the plunge, downloaded the Office 2007 (Beta), and started playing with it. One problem (so far), while you can keep old Office programs on your computer (in case the new ones don't work), the Outlook 2007 Beta required deletion of Outlook 2003. So, now my Treo won't sync anymore. Palmsource's Hotsync Manager 6.01 is not comaptible with Outlook 2007. I do not want to buy the Chapura program. Has anyone discovered a solution? In the meantime, word to the wise, if you rely on your Treo ... don't upgrade to the MS Office Beta (yet).

Is there a desktop PIM/calendar/tasks package that can sync with a smartphone? I don't really need to sync email - I don't have a data package anyway.
