We just got an Ipod Nano (the latest one) for Christmas and when we first got it out of the box we were able to download music from our computer to the I-Pod. We did it with I-tunes and I remember seeing something that indicated that the I-Pod was being recognized by the I-tunes website. No problems downloading to the I-Pod.
But now I'm trying to add some music and the I-Pod is not being recognized. The new songs are in my library (under I-tunes) and they are already paid for. I have Windows Vista.
The little white USB cord is not having a problem with charging the I-Pod, but nothing on the computer indicates that the I-Pod is recognized.
When I am in the library, I click on DEVICES, and I can see a word that says sync, but sync is not in bold, another words I can't click on it.
Any advice? I already turned my computer off and on again, and also took out the USB and put it back in as well.
I went to the website and read the manual but there is so much there and I don't see how to do any of the instructions if the I-pod is not recognized.

I just got an iPhone 4S. I "restored" the new iPhone from an iCloud backup of my previous iPhone 3GS. It worked almost
perfectly, but roughly half my music won't play! [more inside]

I have multiple Ubuntu PCs in multiple rooms, each connected to individual HiFis. I want to be able to listen to my 150GB music collection from any of the PCs. BUT, I want to have a unified record of playcount, so, from each PC, I can access a "Not Recently Played" smart playlist that has been updated from all PCs. I'd also like to sync this Not Recenlty Played playlist with my Android phone. How can I do this? [more inside]

Is there a possibility to jailbreak my iOS 4.0.2 iPhone without resetting it? Can I backup everything from my iPhone to my new computer and make it the new sync computer? [more inside]

I create loop-based MIDI music. I want to jam with a live drummer who can't play to a click track so I'll have to manually sync to him. Come!! Let us discuss tactics and tools. [more inside]

Can Flash/ActionScript play multiple audio clips simultaneously, while maintaining sync, over a timespan of, say, 4-7 minutes? Preferably while presenting only one set of playback controls (stop, play, pause, and maybe positioning) to the user? [more inside]
