It's becoming increasingly common in the art world to see various forms of multi-channel video: works or installations in which video plays back on more than 1 screen at a time. If I wanted to create a 2-channel video piece, what technical means would be available to me to play back both video channels in sync with each other? [more inside]

I accidentally synced my mac's contacts with gmail, and added 4000 unwanted contacts. I manually stripped them out, turned off gmail syncing, and now I get an "unknown error" from itunes when syncing with my iphone, and a "syncing contacts will add 4000 (or so) contacts" message ... even though those people weren't showing up in my contacts app. [more inside]

imacs and palm pilots and windows systems - do they play nicely together? i'm trying to help a friend figure out if his soon-to-arrive imac (his first mac since 85) will be able to sync with the calendar and contact software on a palm pilot. he currrently uses ACT at work (WIN), but is willing to change that to a different calendar/contact solution that will allow him to sync the palm pilot at home too, (and add info at home). any advice on simple solutions or best practices?

I have a Palm Zire that I sync with my iBook. Calendar and To Dos sync with iCal and Address Books sync well, but I have to view my memos in the big bloated Palm Desktop. Is there an app for Mac to sync with Memos? Version Tracker has this but I have always disliked Stickies, and would prefer a nice little app with a list of my memos all in one place if such a thing exists. Suggestions?

The Poor Man's Laptop: As I've parted ways with my previous employer, I've had to relinquish my beautiful, 15 inch aluminum PowerBook. I can't afford a new machine, but have a need for some basic word processing and note taking capabilities. So I've picked up a Palm Tungsten E and a wireless keyboard. Can anyone recommend some Windows software to synchronize a local directory with a remote FTP directory? I want to do nightly remote -> local backups that just download the changed files from my web server, but I can't seem to find software that will do this simple thing.
