I play an
Array Mbira. The tines are made of spring steel. I have sweaty hands, so the tines tend to rust unless I coat them with oil. The folks who make the instrument recommend 3-In-One Oil, which is what I've been using. Does it contain anything toxic? Are there other oils I could use to protect the tines?

Super last minute plea for help: I am going out for a super fancy pants dinner
tomorrow night with my partner. The problem is that it is going to be hot as hell and I'm a person who sweats a fair bit. Help me save my hair, makeup and keep the back of my dress from getting soaked with sweat. Please... I beg of you... For once I want to end the date as pretty and put together as I was when the date started. :(

I have read that merino wool is the ideal base layer for cyclists because it soaks up sweat without getting cold, clammy and smelly. This is just what I need for my daily cycle commute. But I tried on some merino long-sleeve t-shirts, and found that I am too fat to wear them decently.
Are there merino blends, cuts or alternatives that have the desirable sweat-eating properties but won't cling so faithfully to my bulges?

Doctors advise me to avoid much sunlight, but I'm bald. I need some protection, and sunscreen is such a bother. I have hats, but in my Florida humidity, I sweat bucketloads up there. Was there a trick before hats became unpopular? Cowboys didn't have to mop their brows every 5 minutes, right?

I am a type 1 [insulin-dependent] diabetic, and sometimes at night, when I haven't eaten enough to cover the insulin I took that evening, I 'bottom out': my blood sugar goes down very low and I wake up bathed in sweat and must go searching for orange juice.
My question is about this: The nighttime sweat from low blood sugar just...
stinks. It is
powerfully rank sweat, as though I had not washed in many days. My partner agreed, he has noticed that it is different from any other sweat I sweat. "You NEVER smell like that any other time. It's a low blood sugar thing." Yet only at night! I also become clothes-soakingly sweaty if low blood sugar happens during the day, BUT it seems 'normal', the same as when I exercise.
Can anyone tell me why this might be? Why is the night-time hypoglycemic sweat so incredibly smelly?

My shower (an in-stall water heater) sometimes smells like something rubber is burning. It's a strong acrid smell that I only notice while in the shower and usually only after a sweaty workout. There is no sign of smoke like you would expect with burning rubber. Is this just some sort of weird sweat and treated water chemical reaction? Anybody heard of something like this?

hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating) and also seems to have developed a very oil-extruding physiology. Is there anything I can do to make it so that I don't have to wash my hands between each and every song? If not, what is the most efficient way to clean up and dry off my hands every five minutes or so?

I'm a clean guy by nature, I take showers daily, and use deoderant.
The problem is when I do any kind of physical work that's not too strenuous (aka dancing, carrying bags) my armpits sweat a bit, but not a lot, but the smell is strong! The result of this that I'm forced to throw a perfectly clean t-shirt into the laundry bag just because the underarm areas smell.
Is there any way to kill this smell, I feel like I'm wasting money on cleaning clean shirts :\
Any and all advice is welcome!

How do I stop the night sweats? I am a female, 20s, not on or coming off of any medications or substances, though I do take vitamins. For the past couple winters (weirdly, only in winter, maybe once or twice in warmer weather) I have regularly had night sweats. Sometimes I wake up and everything is soaked, a pain not just for me but for my boyfriend as well. The only thing that helps a little is sleeping nude without blankets, but then I'm freezing and can't sleep anyway. I'm not sick. What could be causing this?
