Does anyone have experience with a truly super glue? My sunglasses just snapped in half at the bridge. I've had them forever, so I can't really fault the manufacturer. But they're prescription, and I'd like to avoid having to go out and get a new pair right now if I can help it. Is there a glue in existence that bonds quickly and permanently?
I bought a pair of glasses from Warby Parker (that I like). However, WP does not offer sunglass clip-ons, which I pretty much cannot live without. I know that there are companies that make custom clip-ons (my old-school eyewear store could get clip-ons made for just about any pair of glasses), but do any of them sell directly to the public? If so, can you recommend any you've used? Thank you.
I want to use Uvex S1933X blue-light blocking glasses, but they're too uncomfortable—they pinch my temples and the nose bridge is hard plastic. Thankfully the lens just pops out. Do you have any thoughts on where to find empty frames to which I could simply glue or tape the lens? [more inside]

As said, I am a woman with a small face and most aviators are too large. Ray ban aviators (3025) come in small (55mm) and large (58mm). The smalls suit me fine but I would like to find other brands of a similar small size that curve or wrap around my face a little more as the Raybans are pretty flat across, even though the aviator shape is perfect. Can you suggest any? I have some Marc Jacobs which I also really like but they too are too large, I look like I'm playing dress up. I'm in Australia but am happy to ship if I find something I like.
According to my eye doctor, my $10 Target sunglasses need to go (he saw some very early indications of possible macular degeneration at my eye appointment today) in favor of higher quality sunglasses. He specifically mentioned brands like Oakley, Rayban, and Fendi as having good quality sunglasses. I'm willing to pay to get good quality protective sunglasses, but I want to pay for quality, not a name. What are some good quality sunglasses (either brands or specific pairs) that are worth the money (and not just the name brand)?

I can't believe I'm using a question on this but please school me on something very basic, again. For the first time as an adult, I own sunglasses that did not come from the drugstore and cost $12. Not very expensive, but expensive enough, especially for me, if you know what I mean. (And medically necessary.) I'm too cheap to even want to think about having to replace these in the next few years. [more inside]
I'm soon going on a long trip to the tropics. I wear glasses for vision correction (-2.5) and need to figure out what prescription eyewear to bring. Should I go with contact lenses or glasses? (Also considering prescription sunglasses and Transitions lenses.) [more inside]
I'm a guy looking for sunglasses, no vision correction necessary. I like the sort of mid-century modern frames of a Warby Parker or a Classic Specs but, after try on programs from both, I'm discovering that just about all their frames are too small for my enormous head. Help? [more inside]

do you have a take on the quality/appeal of Mont Blanc for accessories like eyewear, wallets, etc? I seem to be running organically into recommendations for this brand as I find myself unable to afford the top makers in a category but I don't want to end up in a situation where I've gotten something that's neither reasonably priced nor extra-nice but ended up spending a chunk of money on no-man's land in between.
My mom is having trouble finding the right type of lens for sunglasses. She has blephritis and a cataract. The blephritis makes her eye sensitive to sunlight, but she needs bright light to help her see through the cataract. Any suggestions for the type or color of sunglass lens to help her enjoy her summer?

I want to order prescription sunglasses online. Looking at Zenni Optical right now. The frames I like seem to have a minimum PD of 64. Mine is 62. How much difference does a couple digits make? Can I order 64s and have them be usable for driving? Or do I need to pick different frames? [more inside]

I'm looking for a discount online glasses shop like Zenni Optical that sells prescription sunglasses with really dark tint. I bought a couple of pairs from Zenni with 80% tint (the darkest option), and they're not quite cutting it on particularly sunny days. Zenni has said they can't go any darker, so I'm looking for other options. So if you're happy with some very dark (or even mirrored) prescription sunglasses that you've ordered online, tell me where you got 'em!

Is there somewhere cheap & reliable in Canada (online or by mail) where I can send my prescription glasses and sunglasses frames to be relensed in my own prescription? I have purchased some funky/vintage frames online and would like to have my prescription put in them but the local optical shops are charging $200+ and I just can't afford that for each pair of glasses (I have just purchased several pairs). I see there are some US-based sites (that probably ship overseas which is OK) but none seem to be available in Canada. Bonus if you can give me a personal recommendation. Thanks!
