Repair stripped screw holes in my bamboo sunglasses.

I own a pair of bamboo wood sunglasses. Both of the screws that hold the hinges in place on the rim have come loose from the wood, and the threaded holes on the rim aren't threaded anymore and they screws are not really screwed in anymore, just sort of stuck into them. How can I tighten them up? [more inside]

Mirrored sunglasses (no, really *really opaquely* mirrored sunglasses)

I'm trying to find online-purchasable, prescription sunglasses with mirror filming opaque enough that you can't see my eyes through the lenses (most searches for "opaque mirrored sunglasses" do not produce these). Any ideas? (Photo of exactly what I do/don't want inside.) [more inside]

Are Shuron Clip-On Sunglasses A Good Idea?

So it's finally come to this: I need to wear prescription sunglasses while driving. I'm wearing progressive lenses in Shuron Ronsir Zyl frames, which I love. I was thinking to save money I'd get prescription sunglass lenses for just the the driving part, (distance only), not progressive lenses; then I remembered that you can get clip-ons for the Ronsirs. My question(s) is for Shuron Ronsir wearers who have the clip-ons: [more inside]

Can my sunglasses be fixed?

Does anyone have experience with a truly super glue? My sunglasses just snapped in half at the bridge. I've had them forever, so I can't really fault the manufacturer. But they're prescription, and I'd like to avoid having to go out and get a new pair right now if I can help it. Is there a glue in existence that bonds quickly and permanently?

Custom sunglass clip-ons

I bought a pair of glasses from Warby Parker (that I like). However, WP does not offer sunglass clip-ons, which I pretty much cannot live without. I know that there are companies that make custom clip-ons (my old-school eyewear store could get clip-ons made for just about any pair of glasses), but do any of them sell directly to the public? If so, can you recommend any you've used? Thank you.

More comfortable frames for these Uvex safety glasses?

I want to use Uvex S1933X blue-light blocking glasses, but they're too uncomfortable—they pinch my temples and the nose bridge is hard plastic. Thankfully the lens just pops out. Do you have any thoughts on where to find empty frames to which I could simply glue or tape the lens? [more inside]

Aviator sunglasses for a small face?

As said, I am a woman with a small face and most aviators are too large. Ray ban aviators (3025) come in small (55mm) and large (58mm). The smalls suit me fine but I would like to find other brands of a similar small size that curve or wrap around my face a little more as the Raybans are pretty flat across, even though the aviator shape is perfect. Can you suggest any? I have some Marc Jacobs which I also really like but they too are too large, I look like I'm playing dress up. I'm in Australia but am happy to ship if I find something I like.

Good quality sunglasses that are worth the price?

According to my eye doctor, my $10 Target sunglasses need to go (he saw some very early indications of possible macular degeneration at my eye appointment today) in favor of higher quality sunglasses. He specifically mentioned brands like Oakley, Rayban, and Fendi as having good quality sunglasses. I'm willing to pay to get good quality protective sunglasses, but I want to pay for quality, not a name. What are some good quality sunglasses (either brands or specific pairs) that are worth the money (and not just the name brand)?

Want to use nice new sunglasses more often than a fancy parlor room

I can't believe I'm using a question on this but please school me on something very basic, again. For the first time as an adult, I own sunglasses that did not come from the drugstore and cost $12.
