Nashville or Franklin on a Sunday Afternoon

Visiting a friend who lives in Franklin, TN this weekend, but will have Sunday afternoon free. What should I do there or in Nashville on my own? Already spending 1 day with friend each in Franklin and Nashville, so I'm guessing I should go to Nashville.

Interests include but are not limited to techy/sciencey stuff, NASCAR/any sort of vehicle racing, dessert, and unique local things (like Hatch Show Print and the Pantheon which I plan to visit on Saturday).

Difficulties:
1. No car. I can get dropped off anywhere, and then take a taxi back later, but in between needs to be walkable. But I don't mind lots of walking, especially if the area is interesting to look at.
2. Don't want to go sit someplace listening to country music.

Thanks!

I'm really quite sick, but my doctors office is closed on Sunday (today). How can I see a doctor today? I have 'Health Net' insurance.

I have a really sore and stiff neck, a slight headache, and my tonsils and throat feel swollen. It is painful to swallow, and I've got some major mucous going on.

Espresso and turning pages

Books, sofas, coffee and the Sunday papers - good independent bookshops in London that are made for relaxing of a Sunday morning? Me and the dear wife recently visited some friends of mine in Aberdeen, where I went to university, and we had a lovely morning in Books and Beans, an independent second hand bookshop/cafe hybrid. Now we're back in London, and looking for similar things in London. So far, we seem to be stuck in between the extremes of corporate bookshops with built-in Starbucks and musty Charing Cross Road places that smell faintly of mildew.

South London would be awesome, but we're willing to travel a bit for that perfect books, newspapers and coffee feeling.

One thing - we know about both the Waterstone's Picaddilly bar (not comfy enough) and the Foyle's Jazz Bar (also not comfy enough). Sofas and such are a definite plus.

What time is it ok to use a power saw in the driveway on Sunday morning? So my wife and I are in the middle of a home improvement project that has, of course, run way beyond its budgeted amount of: 1.) trips to Home Despot; 2.) money; and most importantly, 3.) time.

I can finish it today, if I get some cabinets built this morning. It's 9:00 now, and I'm thinking of firing up the power tools. We live in an older, close-in neighborhood of our city.

Is there a generally-accepted appropriate time to make noise like that on a Sunday morning? Will I incur the wrath of my neighbors? Will I ruin Sunday morning newspaper-reading or other rituals?

Help me Fat my Strat!

Mefi guitar tech-heads: Help me figure out how to wire this humbucker into the bridge position of my strat. Humbucker, two wires, Strat single coil, three wires. Buh? As a lazy sunday project, I decided to stick this Seymour Duncan 57 humbucker I've had laying about into the bridge position of my trusty lefty mexican Strat. I've got the thing apart, the hole cut in the pickguard, and am essentially ready to rock, except, having removed the bridge single coil pickup, and clipped the wire, I find a red wire, a black wire, and a silver braided wire, what I assume to be ground... My SD humbucker however, simply has a black wire, and braided ground around it. How I do dis?

Good Italian Sunday Sauce Recipe?

I'm looking for a great Italian Tomato "sunday sauce" recipe with bones in it. We have a family our family has been friends with for years. They're a typical Italian American family, and the mother makes the most unbelievable sauce known to mankind.

If I remember it correctly, it has some sort of "meat shreds" in it, Sausage, meatballs, onions, tomatos, and proably a zillion other things.

It's VERY rich and meaty tasting. I remember sucking the marrow out of the bones that simmered in the sauce for 10+ hours.. Truly a wonderful food experience.

Additional info: So meaty that it had a sheen to it..

So after a horrifically failed tomato sauce experiment yesterday (storebought tomato sauce gussied up, then burnt to hell in a pressure cooker), I'm biting the bullet.

I need a recipe that has bones in it, meatballs and the like. I assume the shreds of meat came from the bones included..

Any suggestions? books? etc.

I've got a few starter links i've found, but i still haven't gotten clarity on what I'm doing. I like this as a base due to the tomato content and commentary on sugar, but I don't think it has enough garlic and the like. I also like this one because it includes a glass of wine, but I'm confused about the pork vs. veal vs. beef bones.

So any suggestions? I crave sauce!

What is with song references to "Sunday Morning"?

I've become aware of many songs that reference "sunday morning". My question is, what is "Sunday Morning" supposed to imply? Is there some feel of Sunday morning that I'm unaware of? Also, feel free to cite examples of songs to show that I'm not crazy and that it is a common occurrence. A couple examples off the top of my head are "Lithium" by Nirvana and that Maroon 5 song. I think Sublime has one too. I know that I've heard it in many songs and always wondered what it's supposed to mean.
