Wedding guest suit/clothes for plus-size woman?

This previous question could almost be me--except that I'm much larger. I need to find a wedding outfit for a December wedding in Vegas, and I'm profoundly uncomfortable in dresses. Can you help me find sources for dressy straight-butch-ish clothes, in maybe a 26/28 size pant and a top size that ranges from 28 into the 30s? [more inside]

As sound proof as a leaky sieve

Legal firms are based around privacy, but both Suits and The Good Wife quite prominently feature offices with walls made of glass panels with substantial air gaps between them. In Suits it looks like it's about an inch. In TGW it's nearer a foot. Is there something I'm missing about the design or the acoustics, or are these walls pretty much useless?

Wheres a good place online to buy inexpnsive light Italian-style suits?

We were in Rome a couple summers back and I was taken with how well dressed Italian men are even in the summer heat. It seems the secret is in all the shops there selling very lightweight jackets, pants, suits. Perfectly suited to spring and summer weather. I picked up a couple outfits while I was there and now Im back in California and I'm wanting to grab more. Does anyone know of an online retailer that specializes in this sort of thing?

Blouses I can wear untucked with suits. Difficulty level: plus size.

I work in an office where the dress code is basically business formal I have been wearing dress + blazer mostly, but would like to wear some pantsuits now that it's getting colder. Problem is blouses tucked in to pants do NOT look good on me. Any advice out there on tops that would be appropriate and look good not tucked in with suits? [more inside]

So I'm pretty much not looking for a suit on craigslist anymore, right?

I have a very very niche job. I've been doing it for over ten years now and have made about $28,000 per year. Because of my experience, I was called in for a meet and greet. It was going to lead nowhere. So, I pretty much blew it off, and blew the next one off, and showed up to the third because it was on my way home. They hired me and gave me a job that pays about $786,000 per year. I was told that they had reservations about me and told me they were bothered by the fact that I wore "denim with unpatched holes" at the interview. I didn't even think I was being considered. This is very unreal. And now I will have a job that pays me more in my bimonthly check than my last year's entire gross. I will be working with a different clientele, and my position will have more prestige than previously. So how do I dress? [more inside]

A cheap source for five differently sized 60s-style black men's suits?

I need five black suits for a video/photo shoot and subsequent band performances. The suits need to have a kind of sixties cut (think Reservoir Dogs, or something Steve McQueen might wear) with a narrow pant leg. What's my best bet for finding them? Quality is irrelevant as long as they look OK, budget is 'as little as possible'. [more inside]

Summer Wedding In Charleston, Need fashion critiques!

As the title states I've got a wedding in Charleston, SC in July. I'm planning on getting a blue seersucker jacket anyways, so I've been looking on how to put this all together. I've come up with two ensembles that I think would work best. The main differences between the two are the pants really...white pants vs blue. The shoes coordinate appropriately as white shoes/pants wouldn't really work. The shirt choices, white or pastel pink are negotiable, as is the bowtie vs regular tie. I'd likely pocket square it up as well. Opinions? I'm open to any other styles or ways to arrange it all. If it bears any relevance my girlfriend will be wearing this.

Men's suits: timeless, classic, what styles are good?

I don't know a thing about menswear except that men sometimes wear it. My husband's one suit is finally done for, and he needs a new one by the end of the week. Suits $200, $500, $1000 what's the difference

Aside from how long it lasts, is there a visible difference between a $200 suit, a $500 suit and a $1,000 suit? I'm thinking about buying a new suit. I own one suit currently. I've had it for 20 years, and I've worn it maybe 20 times. So longevity isn't a concern for me. Toby Chew? Toby Wong? Movies w/ gangsters?

I'm on a gangster movie binge. Reservoir Dogs, Boondock Saints, RocknRolla (basically all of Guy Ritchie's stuff). I need more in this vein to fulfil my craving for cool men doing violence in innovative ways. I'd like recommendations for modern movies preferably without the Italian mafia. Bonus points for United Kingdom focused films.
