I am helping to dress my man for an upcoming rock show. He will be performing in front of an amazing assortment of VIP's, including artists, tastemakers, and fashion icons. I don't know much about menswear, and he pretty much hates dealing with clothes, so I need some advice.

I'm changing jobs and going from a very casual environment to jacket and tie land. At the moment the only suit I've got that fits is the one I interviewed in, so I'm going to need a week and a half's worth of clothing and I don't want to go broke buying it. I'm looking for recommendations for menswear places in Minneapolis / St. Paul and the southern suburbs, and any tips from folks well accustomed to suiting up on a regular basis.

UK male needs a new work wardrobe. I think I want suits that I'll wear mostly without a tie. So maybe two suits (two pairs of trousers for each), and 8 shirts? I would like them to fit well and be good quality, but I have no clue beyond that or confidence in measuring and choosing. Where can I go (London or just north of), that will measure, advise and sell to me?

My fiance needs a suit for our wedding and beyond. Please help us sort through the myriad options. Special snowflake details: He wears a boys size 18 and won't really need to wear a suit after the special day but will be transitioning from a jeans and t-shirt job environment to a business casual one. Aside from how long it lasts, is there a visible difference between a $200 suit, a $500 suit and a $1,000 suit? I'm thinking about buying a new suit. I own one suit currently. I've had it for 20 years, and I've worn it maybe 20 times. So longevity isn't a concern for me. I want a style that won't look dated over time and I want to look sharp, but I don't want to spend any more than I have to. How much am I spending, and where should I be spending it? I'm in Los Angeles.

I am in Vancouver. I can never find suits that fit me. I am around five ten and very slim. Most suits, even at their smallest size, fit me like a refrigerator box. I am looking for something in slim fit suits, kind of like the brand Tiger of Sweden (seemingly unavailable via the internet purchasing route). Does anyone know of any brands I should look into? Price range around 750 max. Should I look into getting one made? Any advice is appreciated, after years of looking I still don't own a suit I am happy with. Thank you for any advice you have.

Men's suit-filter: Went to the tailor to get a couple of my suit jackets looked at. They told me that it wasn't that the shoulder was too tight (which I'd thought was the problem), but it was that the there wasn't enough room in the sleeve, in the area around my triceps. And upon opening up the inside of the sleeve, the tailor pronounced that there wasn't enough fabric to make the sleeve significantly bigger.
Is there any way around this? Thanks MeFites!

So I'm going to a wedding in August out by some lake, and I got to thinking how I'm going to be wearing this dark suit, under the sun, for hours. Now, I know there's such a thing as a drinks cooler that's solar-powered - do you think it would be possible to cover a dark suit in solar panels such that you could rig some kind of air-conditioning unit underneath? Enough to counteract having to wear a dark suit under an August sun? I recognize that this question is kinda theoretical (and vaguely silly) but I was wondering if the more tech-minded of you all might be able to provide some idea how something like this might be possible.
