A Facebook friend I hardly know posted a very suicidal post a couple days ago involving being on a bridge and wanting to jump off. Because it appeared urgent and no one else had responded in any way, I sent him a message and my phone number and told him to call me. He did call (by this time he was in a bar), and we talked for about half an hour. I have been in somewhat similar situations before, but never with someone I really don't know (we've met once), and now he has sent me a Facebook message saying "I need huge support this weekend."
